Murder! PS3 "kills" Xbox 360. Call Phoenix Wright, quick! |
Ó
Or at least that's what 1UP editor John Davidson says. He wrote quite an amusing anecdote about how his Xbox 360 died. Here's the story:
Apparently, Davidson has his PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in a wooden entertainment cabinet/center with glass doors. One morning, his kids decided to play Cars on the 360. The older kid was playing the video game while the younger kid played pretend on the SIXAXIS. Unfortunately, the younger child hit the PS button, unwittingly turning on the Sony PS3. Alas, the glass doors of the cabinet were closed and as the turn of events go, the PS3 blasts heat and the Xbox360 flashed the Red Ring of Doom.
There are several lessons in a story like this but the most important would be to never leave your precious electronic devices in enclosed and poorly ventilated spots. Heat and circuit boards are not really friendly with one another, much like circuits and water.
Davidson noted that he can play hours upon hours on his Xbox 360 with the glass doors closed without having it conk out on him. On the other hand, he keeps the doors open when he plays with his PS3. Well, maybe he's just plain unlucky. Or he should've put holes on his entertainment center for better ventilation for both consoles. Why didn't the Xbox 360 turn off when it got too hot? We may never know. Hopefully, the poor guy still has warranty coverage.
Any objections?

Remember the old days of PC prozessors, when AMD joined the market? AMD had the problem that they'r prozessor did properly stop upon overheat and simply just fry the motherboard.
Guess thats what you get uppon cheap production...
i dont think either console has an auto off feature when if comes to over heating - it may crash & freeze the screen.
It specifically says in the manual that your 360 has to have plenty of airspace around it, otherwise it might void your warranty. Not too sure about the PS3 though.
I'd always tell them you had it in an open air entertainment cabinet
This makes complete sense and is in no way a surprise...
Also, it doesn't say if his 360 completely died...usually it will give you the red lights to and freeze when it overheats, but is fine once you let it cool down.
Although, he does say killed
haha ps3 chowed the 360 up! Just think... the ps3 has the power pack built in.. if the 360 had it built in.. it would definately torch up your house for good! now.. words for thought.. the ps3 was after your 360.. now its won.. it wants to eat your babies... be afraid.. be very afraid!
great news!! well done
i new the ps3 would own 360 one day.

Thats a great picture! I love seeing the 270 ring of death. Looks like something out of Halo. Hmmmm.
Just goes to show, what a piece of junk the Xblows 270 really is. Made CHEAP as possible, to maximize profits. Typical Microshaft.
My Xblows 270(bricked) finally left the closet, and moved to the wife's trunk. It will hopefully make it to the trash someday, where it belongs. As with all Microshaft products.
Currently the 360 is killing the PS3. I guess it's only fair that the PS3 takes 1 360 out.
So I guess the headlines should read "PS3 kills competition...literally" lol
It almost looks like he asked for it:
1. not only did he put the 360 into an enclosed cabinet, which is foolish from the start, he 2. put the PS3 beside it. 3. He plays with the cabinet's doors open when playing ON THE PS3, and closes them WHEN PLAYING 360 GAMES, I mean, come on? Doesn't he know which one of both has overheating (and consequently dying) issues?
So, he got it all wrong. My guess, he closed the doors shut on the 360 because it's too noisy when operated, and keeps them open when playing PS3 because the system is more precious to him (and more quiet), and THUS, slowly killing the 360's circuits over time. What happened according to the kids' story was just the finishing stroke.
What's wrong with shutting down an overheating console? My AMD64 kept doing that all the time last summer, before I noticed one of the fans had died. The Machine is still fine today, of course. But obviously MS was too cheap building a few heat sensors into their annoyingly noisy product. You need a definition for defective by design, there you have it.
it's just another dead 360...
Ya know what. The ps3 blows out warm air. What the hell is with these comments about super hot air destroying stuff. The xbox has an external power supply, where a ton of heat is made, and originally caused problems like overheating and FIRES... wtf. So the PS3 kills an Xbox.. I guess we know which product is better. Simple as that!
this....this is just the dumbest s*it I have seen yet on here as far as the hate goes on the 360..please stop...please
HMM...
He normally leaves the cabinet open for the PS3 but not the 360? Then the 360 is lesser quality if it fails?
Why doesn't he just put a heater blowing directly on the XBOX in his sealed cabinet? Dumbass.
What is with these stupid ass articles on qj? Seriously? Then these stupid ass responders really need a smacking. Of course if you blow heat on a 360 in a sealed cabinet for hours it will overheat, so will a POS3! WTF!?
Yeah I've got an objection! Why when people do dumb ass sh*t like this, they still blame MS! Sometimes hardware failure is their fault, but if somebody is that goddam stupid how can they write an article about it and blame MS for the failure? IDIOTS!!!!!!
Ya know what? If the 360 blew the hot air on the POS3 in the enclosed cabinet for hours lets see how long it works dumb sh*t.
The ps3 and 360 were running in the same cabinet, and in the same heat...the ps3 is still alive because it has better fans and AUTOMATICALLY SHUTS DOWN IF IT STARTS GETTING TOO HOT! Now that is a nice, smart built-in feature.
1UP? Baised on PS3? LOL
OMG LOLZ PS3 WINZ CONSOLE WARS
cough...no
ya ps3 has a big damn heat problem when its in a cabinet or something
you cant leave it on in ur room if u wish to sleep in a cool enviroment
he said he leaves the cabinet open for the ps3 because of the heat you stupid idiot
read the article before commenting dibshut
In the XBOX 360 instructions it says, "do not place the console in an unventilated cabinet." He admited doing this regularly hours upon hours, then he has a PS3 on for hours also adding heat in the unventilated cabinet.
It is his own dumb ass fault for the failure in this case, plain and simple. Just an example how MS gets blamed for everything.
Then he gives his PS3 the preferred treatment by leaving it ventilated in use, and at the time of the 360's failure, it was simply on in the XMB not making much heat.
Its EXTREMLY pethetic for an apparently finished product to over heat just because it is near some warm electronics in a cabinent. I had a 360 for a little while which overheated constantly and it was placed beside my reciever which powering 7 speakers gets very hot at higher volumes. BUT! that area is open to the room and has about a foot of space behind it and 4 feet verticaly. I placed it on a table on the ground away from any heat sources and it still overheated, then i tryed blowing cool air into it using a floor fan. All of which failed to keep it running for more than fourty minutes.
The 360 wasnt mine, I was borrowing it from a friend but wow! For a product to fail so much is pethetic!
My PS3 on the other hand is in the exact same position beside the reciever and has yet to show any signs of overheating.
Ok I have both the 360 and the PS3 as well.
1. there in a ventilated area.
When ever I leave my 360 on overnight or w/e I have to use a small house fan to keep it form shutting down. it also has an intercooler. the intercooler does help but the 360 is just so loud and very hot. The PS3 on the other hand is quiet the opposite and it doesn't get as hot. one night I wanted to leave the PS3 on over night to run FAH and I wanted to leave the 360 on for another game so I turn them both on and I decide to go look for a fan 10 minutes goes by I come back the 360 is shut down w/ a red light on the power supply. the 360 still works but the moral of the story is the 360 just gets way to hot and is poorly made. and if I run both at the same time I have to have a fan on them. My 360 has shut down many times aparently due to heat when it's well ventilated and in an open space. I like how the 360 fan boys say that the 360 has great games. thats there only defense. ya of course it does it's been out a year longer. ignorant people man. one day they will see that the PS3 is far superior.
Exactly. It's got nothing to do with the PS3, It's just another dud 360 on it's way out.
360 hate? LMAO thats a good one. Look around buddy, there's more PS3 hate than you can read.
I like the line "Teh 360 has more games!!" but... whats the point of having more games ... if your system can't stay on long enuff to play them>?
he closed the cabinet cause 360 is a loud piece of ***** and is extremely annoying when you play gamez with atari gfx.. lolz
he put it in a cabinet built for high end electronics. Its not like he put the dang thing in a shoe box! The XBOX 360 could be in the north pole and it would still overheat!!!
@vinsonbar
One name comes to mind when i think of 360.. foxconn ring a bell? worse hardware manufacturer on face the earth? Ps3 on other hand doesn't treat their customer like cheap piece of ***** and has ASUS custom made mobo.. much superior pcb.. ps3 is more expensive but to the least its reliable hardware that wont break for years to come... PS3 will win the war in the long run with simple factor that their machine doesn't break for dumb ass reasons and that the games will get fugging a lot better in the long run >:)
@hush404
amen to that dudio...
You fantards are too much. Even you QJ, should know this article is nothing but FUD.
I assume the majority of post writen here are from the under 15 croud.
It you take care of your CE, they will last a long time.
And sofar i have had more Ps1 and PS2 die becasue of faulty lasers, than any other console. So please, dont try and act like you know about Sony and MS Quality Control.
Dont yall forget about Xbox 1 heating problem? Xboxes always got heating problems and i knew there was going to be a problem with the 360... if you are playing a great game and left it on pause and if it shut down.. i know u would be angry that you have to start the game over because it never been saved. I remember i was playing Resistance: Fall of Man on PS3 and i was on the mission on the game but after i press the PS button and selected "Quit Game" without saving the game... however PS3 will autosave the game without going to the saving option and i was impressed because it save times. PS3 is something else and i dont see what other great things that xbox can do what ps3 can do instead of online gaming.
I have a friend who have the 360 and it wont run... he had to send it to Microsoft Xbox company and it took them a week or 2 to send him another one. For PS3, it took Sony Computer company 2 days to send another PS3.
Xbox Elite just came out but why? Are they jealous of PS3? Why there is no internal HD-DVD inside? That is killing HD-DVD anyway... Blu-ray Rulez!!!!
Dude I had my original PS! for like 4 years before it hit the floor and broke. same goes w/ my PS2. my daughter tripped over the cord it fell and didn't work right after that. if you go thru systems like that then you must not take care of them. I can't wait to see hwo many 360's you go thru. PS3's are far superior then the 360. since I won both the 360 and the PS3 I know what I am talking about. the 360 is a pile.
"Now, the 360 on it's own doesn't run so hot that it can't handle being in the entertainment unit with the door shut. I've had it on for hours and hours and hours before, and it never gets so hot that the fan goes into turbo bastard mode. The PS3, on the other hand, is another story. If I keep that sucker in a confined space for too long, I fear for the safety of my family. Hence, whenever we play PS3 games...the door to the unit stays open."
Way to put a spin on things QJ.
Just look at the way the fantards immediately blame MS.
lol, yeah... the 360 is good at taking itself out. I guess it can't stand itself so it commits suicide... what an emo piece of hardware.
I've been waiting since November with my POS3 playing Resistance on the feature lacking PSN for the last 4 months now waiting for the AAA games to come out. I bought Motorstorm thinking, great, the games are finally here! What a joke. The only mode to the game is the online, and there are so many issues I couldn't stand to play the game for long. After about 2 hours, I packed up the system into the box and put it on ebay.
I paid $1600 for the 60gb model thinking it would be a hot item for some time, and I sold it for $300, good riddance. $ony's support for their products blows. All they care about is their blu ray BS format, while giving gamers like me the shaft.
You guys are too funny... just flaming away... Xbox 360 > POS3, btw... Just an example of how n00b PS3 owners are: I just recently purchased, off craigslist, an Xbox 360 HD-DVD Drive for $25... Guess why? The guy said it was broken. What was his example of it not working?? He tried putting, what he said, a BLU-RAY HD-DVD DISC! in it... and he said he no longer needs it because he bought a POS3. End of discussion, Xbox 360> POS3.
The 360 sells more than double what the POS3 sells per week in the US.
The people have spoken.
PATHETIC just PATHETIC if you call this NONSENSE news...
the PS3 doesnt put out that much heat, god damn it, you noobs are so pathetic
i have a Xbox, and 2 PS2s (slimline and original) and NEITHER of them have broken, yet within 5 months of having the Xbox the disk tray broke, and when it would actually work it wouldnt read games half of the time
the cox-in-a-box 360 is better than a PS3 because an idiot tried to put a blu-ray disk inside yet another add-on for the 360? ok then....
and the only reason i used "cox-in-a-box 360" is because all of you *****s saying "ZOMG POS3 IS TEH SUXZORS BECAUSE FANBOYS R STEWPID!"
Is nobody going to point out the fact that the PS3 didn't die?
Two consoles, both on, in an enclosed environment. 1 dies, the other laughs. The PS3 didn't die even though the xbox360 was blowin' hot air right back at it.
Also if the kid only hit the ps button, and the actual game didnt start... I doubt the PS3 heated up very much. It usually only starts heating up after playing games for awhile.
ps3 is build to handle heat as it has its indoor powersupply,
the 360 however isnt, hence the fact that the powersupply isnt incorperated in the 360
360 SUX...ps3 OWNED that 360 big time, even though ps3 could never get hot in the XMB, well i hope his did so that it did break that sexbox 360! 360 is gay and so i microsoft when it comes to gaming consoles, why didnt they jsut stick to windows
how many PS2s did you own cuz they "broke and you had to buy a new one?"
so when 360 fans talk about having to buy 3 PS2s in the past..... i'll refer them to you cuz you have the answer to their problem. thanks!!
^^^^^^^^^^^^
is right. either could have died, but the PS3 was clearly built to Sony standards (in other words, well built) and the xbox360 was built to MS' software standards. LOL
"Also if the kid only hit the ps button, and the actual game didnt start... I doubt the PS3 heated up very much. It usually only starts heating up after playing games for awhile."
Dumbass, didn't you just answer your own
argument why the PS3 didn't die?
The 360 was going for a few hours at full temperature with the CPU and GPU kicking, which the author said it could handle. The PS3 put out extra heat, which was too much for the enclosed area.
Some hardware failures are MS's fault, this one is not. Electronics should be handled with care acording to the instructions.
My god you fantards act like this happens all the time. My 360 still works great. I take care of it. You should too!
well ps3 behaves somewhat similar to older consoles. if its too hot and you turn it off...it wont turn on again until it cools down
is don't treat your consoles the way this guy did. You put them in an enclosed space like that, you're basically creating a sauna for your electronics. That makes you a... what's the word I'm looking for... oh, yeah... a ****ing idiot.
Dude... That's because xbox fans are so fu cking stupid, like yourself, that they can't read!! It's actually YOUR fault that the xbox broke ass hole... Your fault for sitting around spewing filth and lies about the ps3, getting these xbox fans all worked up to try and prove their system is better.... hahah.. Obviously he didn't leave it open for the PS3 this time, did he?? Nope, sealed up the box, ran them both, and fried the xbox... I'm surprised his house didn't burn down.
Are you serious? You just wasted 25 bucks on a dead format ??
I blew a Sony reciever b/c I had my cable box on top of it. The circuits got fried b/c there was nowhere for the heat to go. Why would I blame the Sony receiver for my stupidity?
When I got a new surround system (a Sony product), my subwoofer blew out after two-years. I took the thing apart and couldn't figure out why it suddenly stopped working. I bought a replacement subwoofer (A Sony one, OMFG) and have had that for four years with no problems. Just a bad something in the one that broke I would guess.
Does that mean Sony makes bad products? No. I f*cked up on one and got unlucky on the other!
So, the 360 is hot. The PS3 gets turned on (not playing games) and adds more heat to the non-ventilated area the 360 is working in. The 360 overheats because it got too hot. And somehow you want to say that the PS3 is better? NO! The guy f*cking says that he cannot run the PS3 alone in the cabinet when it is closed b/c it overheats. His kids f*cked up and you all want to say the Sony product is better? You are all f*cking stupid. This isn't videogame news, this is a story about a guy's kids f*cking up.
Stop spreading FUD. I had a Sega MS, Genesis, Sega CD, 32X, PS1, xbox and now a 360. Not one of my systems has broken. I took the door off my entertainment cabinet when I heard about how hot BOTH OF THE NEW machines are running at. No problems. I will probably never get the ring of death b/c I am not stupid like all of you f*ckwads bashing both of systems.
you paid $1600?
Shows what happens when idiots get money.
If you'd read the article he didnt know he had the PS3 on, without playing a game on it , less heat, so wtf is your point here , this has more to make with reading articles and doing the right stuff to your proper console then xbox being or not being better then PS3 and some fanboys flaming to realistic people and not having any decent arguments
the ps3 only lets out da hot air wen a games inside, its a little louder wen it happens but stilll mor quiet than da 360, and people dat say the ps3 over heats is wrong, i hav 1 and i had it on 4 awhile and its still going stong, the 360 on da other hand will overheat, mostly y i think so...IT dosent Come wit a fan...
Well you stupid ass.
pretend xbox is blowing full load and heat
the ps3 is blowing partial heat
since they are in the same place both consoles have the same amount of heat, the heat is simply being built up but the same across both console.
The shady made 360 died while the ps3 is alive.
Gimme a break, anything else you xbots say is a pathetic excuse for a system, you know they die left and right.
Everyone i know is on their 2nd one. One person made it up to 5, and yes, the all got the nyko intercoolers.
We don't need intercoolers and we're fine.
well u cant really talk bout sony loving their blu-ray, the 360 dont even come with a new format..and once u buy it the $400 360 becomes $600 360, all microsoft cares about is money, das y they CAN stop online fees, but...they DONT, and idk bout u but by the end of this year da ps3 will kill da 360 in da form of Home, killzone 2, heavenly sword, Mgs4, and later on Black 2
How bout u do this, thing about how long da 360s been out, now thing about how long da ps3s been out, how bout u use some common sense and wait a year 4 da ps3 to grow just like da 360 did, by the end of this year da ps3 games will shut u da hell up....oh yeah its just common sense i guess u knew that den
think i mean
if uve read any of my last post ud kno i said da 360 is cheaper only because of one reason, the 360 dont come with as much stuff as a ps3, once u buy a HD-DVD for ur 360 ud kno dat da 360 already jumps up to da ps3 price, plus paying for online, da innercooler(fan ), its tru dat da only defense 360 fanboys can say is mor games...dats tru 4 now but wait a year just like da 360 had and that will change
ill keep it on da down low since u didnt notice...(were talking bout da 360s and PS3s..not ps2), i wish u were next to me so i could giv u a dummyslap
Youre playing a console game called Cars for a few hours which inevitably makes the console hot from operating. Not only that but it has zero ventilation so all that hot air is going nowhere. Then after a few hours you add another heat-producing element that only adds to the problem that the previous electronic was creating. Gee, I wonder why the 360 *died*...
The only reason the 360 died instead of the PS3 was because the 360 was already hot from hours of enclosed operation. Had the PS3 been running for hours in the same closed environment and another heat producing element been added then the PS3 would have *died* instead.
Look, I know that the average age of commenters here are barely reaching over 15, but at least use a little bit of common sense. Hopefully by your senior year in high school you people will have learned about heat convergence.
xbox360 > PS3.
I wouldn't tell anybody that. YOUR FRIGGIN IDIOT!!!!!!
everybody knows the 360 does a pretty excellent job of dying on its own.
I recall hearing somewhere that Sony have just given Foxconn a licence to make PS3s as well (I guess to increase production)... if Foxconn really is as crap as you say they are, I fear for the PS3. >_< *prays that the PS3 I get won't be from Foxconn* Or maybe SONY's quality control will be able to sort out Foxconn's "crappy hardware manufacturing"... Here's to hoping...
Erm, My PS1 and PS2 are still working pretty damn fine and they've been going on 7 years and 5 years respectively. Maybe it would be better if you learnt how to take care of your consoles?
Btw, crowd is spelled with a W... If you can't get that right, I don't think you're over 15 yourself...
At least validate your statement fanboy. That way it makes you more attractive as flamebait... Psch!~
Must be an awful lot of Sony trolls in here, some of the most ignorant MS-hating comments I have ever seen on this site are getting good ratings.
I don't understand why this was even reported. It isn't funny (well I guess it is kinda funny that this guy is stupid enough to leave $1000 worth of electronics in an enclosed cabinet when the instructions specifically state not to, serves him right) and isn't very interesting, just another dead 360 at the fault of the user.
This is just a preview of what's to come when Skynet aka "Home" gets online!!! lol PS3 Domination!!1!
Why is it that you people can't have civilized conversations? It always turns into a ***** fest of fan*****s. You're taking an article that was meant to spark some comedy and turned it into yet another full fledged circle jerk of fanboyism. The combined heat of the PS3 and the 360 made the 360 overheat. Why did the 360 die and not the PS3? Maybe it's because the 360 was running before the PS3 and it was a warmer? Maybe the PS3 can handle heat a little better? Who the ***** cares!
By the way, I still have my 360. It's not broken. I know three people who have had them since launch, and they run smooth as *****.
You guys are just angry because you bought a $600 PIECE O' *****, and if you read the article, the PS3 blasted the hot air into the 360... and anyways i bet the PS3 was doing all its updates and crap and got really hot because it had never been use... who wants to play a PS3? So all you PS3 fanboys go and *****ing play your $600 dollar bricks, while i play my beautiful 360, so STFU
lol, "i (new) the ps3 would own..." typical PS3 fanboy spelling....
I can run my 360 in an insanely hot room playing GOW for around 12 hours, and it doesnt get red lights, your makin this ***** up, you *****ing retard, your just another ps3 fanboy, go ***** your ps3 if you love it so much, *****.
the inter cooler *****s up your console you dumbass, the only reason people made them was to make a cheap buck on a crappy accessory, i have never used one and my 360 has never overheated, with 2 computers in a small room, and 360 running, door shut, i was sweating, and my 360 still ran fine.
wow an article about nothing and sony fanboys flaming xbox fanboys when xbox already won this generation wow
...unlike the oven that is the 360
Microsoft has the most powerful platform again, after doing a little research sony lied in their press release when ps3 was first shown back in 2005 claiming over 2 teraflops, the ps3 is less than 6 gigaflops, the 360 is the first game console released to reach 1 teraflop, and the polygon power for the ps3 which sony never released is 333 million polygons per second while 360 as some already know is 500 million polygons per second, with all of that said the ps3 will still produce amazing looking games, below are the specs for the ps3 GPU.
Here are the official RSX specs,
Looks like the RSX does more Shader Operations than the Xenos. The RSX is pretty strong!

What's the point of a system that has no games in the first place?
And yeah, I can leave my 360 on overnight (and I have before, for some Rainbow Six glitch) and it isn't even warm to the touch in the morning.
By the way, vinsonbar, judging by your spelling I doubt you truly know how ANYTHING works, never mind something as complex as a game console, so excuse me if I take your word with a grain of salt.
I would also stop throwing around words like "ignorant" if I were you, they're a bit out of your league.
PS3 would shut off if it where to overheat... It beeps first and then it shuts off and won't come on again until it cools down again... Also read the PS3 manual (It explains more)...
You say PS3 dont need intercoolers so what are these then ?.. -

i have only had one PS2 since the lauch of it. i just take care of my things. i know people who have gotten laser diodes replaced, and the fronts of their disk drives got broken off and things but they're just irresponsible.
The Playstation 3 is a very reliable machine and the exclusive games for it are fewer but are the most insane games out there, which is why they can't even be run on a 3-*****ty.
just look at R:FoM. the depth of that game is amazing: the pieces of things littering the ground, birds landing on things, bullets flying in every direction and explosions around every corner. the detail of the chimera is justedible. just wait for games like Final Fantasy Versus XIII and MGS4 and then come talk to me.
Seriously guys, I'm reading this in a PS3 forums. Now, it did turn out into an open war. There's even one guy you said this forum is full of Sony fanboys because Sony's message get better rating.
Dang I would expect to find PS3 fanboys in a PS3 forum.
On the other side, I would not expect to find so many 360 fanboys.
So my question is real. Does this forum only show up in a PS3 website? Or everything is also cross-posted in a 360 website?
Now, my two cent:
1- Any decent piece of hardware should shut-off by itself if it does overheat. I'm sincerly hoping both the PS3 and 360 do! Then, after cooling, they should power up again.
2- Power comes in, heat goes out. Both console are drawing pretty much the same power. Taking the heat out is then only a question of design. I love the bigger slower fan on the PS3. Take out same air volume, but since it's slower, it's less noisy. Heatsink and inside design is also important so air move around freely. My PS3 is always on, because when I'm not gaming, it is folding proteins for science. I would not be foolish enough to put it into a close cabinet though.
Never underestimate the power of Playstation 3...
xbox360 > PS3 at overheating and showing us how lovely and Christmassy its Ring of Death looks...
That has to be the weirdest metaphor I've ever heard... Is it your subconscious letting out something that you've been denying yourself lately?
Xbox hasn't won this generation fanboy... If anything, the Wii has a better chance than the Xbox...
I hope you find the red and green circle of death beautiful, you'll probably encounter it soon enough. I also hope you enjoy paying through the nose for "accessories" for your "next gen" console (which really should come standard but the power of the almighty dollar was too much for our good friend Bill)
the reason you have to play with the doors open with the ps3 is because it lets out mmore hot air, therefore keeping it cooler for longer. the stupid 360 lets out less air and freezes up in a few hours. ive left my ps3 on for 24 hours in a row and it hasn't frozen up on me once so don't go writing ***** that isn't true

To me it sounds like Jobo over there is upset because he can't afford a PS3. But of course he has money for Xbox Live. People like Jobo are the reason why there is so much arguing on websites like this. People like Jobo are so *****ing stupid. They don't mind paying for online and buying extra accessories that already should have been standard in the console in the first place. Then they complain that the PS3 costs too much. These are the same people that say "Oh I already own a Premium 360 but I'm picking up the Elite anyway just because it has a new color and some more disk space." I just love the slap Bill Gates gave to every Xbox 360 owner in the face with their release of the Elite. If people like Jobo want the extra hard disk but don't want to upgrade to the elite. Then they have to pay 200 bucks for the 120 GB hard disk. I agree with My My the prices on some of their accessories are just way to high. 100 bucks for a Wi-Fi adaptor. 100 bucks for a 20 GB hard Disk. 50 bucks a year for Online. And the whole 50 a year for online is just being greedy on their part and taking advantage of the users. Seriously Microsoft is the company that has the deepest pockets. I'm pretty sure they could take a small dent in that area and not be affected at all. But of course this is Microsoft so I'm asking for too much. So anyway Jobo have fun giving all your money away to Microsoft. Because that's all they want.
ps3 sucks. plain and simple, people like the Wii better than that piece of crap. 360 owns.
