Whether or not you'll end up bagging the demo of the game, chances are you'd still want to learn all about the vehicles available in MotorStorm: Pacific Rift. Today, we're giving you the dirt (haha very punny /sarcasm) on all eight vehicle types, including that new terror, the Monster Truck.
Some of the vehicles maintain their stereotypical handling and pros and cons from the previous game, but what the hey, it's fun to put these cars side by side and compare them for Pacific Rift. Beep-beep! Here we go!
- Monster Truck: good for all kinds of terrain - swamps, plants, rocks, etc, pretty fast too; downside: sharp turn = certain doom
- Big Rig: huge, barrels through most anything; best way to drive it is to never slow down (may obviously work for or against you)
- Mud Plugger: perfect for mud (duh - it ain't called a mudplugger for nuthin'), has big wheels and good suspension; downside: not good with speed
- Racing Truck: average all-arounder; no specific strengths or weakness (think humans, compared to elves and dwarves, or maybe Guile, compared to Chun Li and Zangief)
- Rally Car: speed speed speed - pretty stable build but too fragile for the likes of the trucks
- Buggies: perfect for sand terrain and other uneven surfaces; has enough power to bonk out ATVs and bikes, but is useless compare to everything else
- ATV: more stable than bikes but not as fast, not good on mud or water; keep dry for best performance (ha, fat chance of that happening on an island)
- Bike: fast, but extremely frail; bike + truck = roadside pancake
