Motorstorm E3 2006 Footage - Intro And Gameplay |

Every time I see footage of Motorstorm I'm reminded of just how much crazy fun it was to play at E3, and it makes it just that much harder to wait for the PS3's launch. Here we've got some cool intro footage of Motorstorm (almost definitely computer generated) which then switches to real time gameplay footage. The player starts out the race vying for first position, crashing into opponents and sending smaller vehicles smashing into the sidelines. After about six minutes he seems to give up the race and swing the vehicle around, spraying mud all over the place, racing at breakneck speed into oncoming traffic with bone crushing results, see for yourself.

I mean, from what you can see, the handling on the car is arcade style and no where near realistic(that would be fun trying to plough through a dirk track with a dune buggy using realistic physics), but there doesnt seem to be enough stupid stuff (think crazy taxi, burnout, destruction derby, stupid stuff can be good if done well) to supplement this arcade style, maybe they'll put a few more jumps in, but it just seems really... plain just now.
It doesnt seem hectic enough to make think you'll ever have to worry about staying in the lead :/

And who ever thinks that the intro was being rendered needs to give there head a shake. You can see a huge difference between the intro vs actual gameplay footage.
Very unimpressed. I guess i would have been impressed if i wasnt expecting something better; as was promised.

come on ppl it was a target video, if you are a gamer and you 've being following sony's console you would have came to a conclusion back then that killzone and any other thing that looked suspicious was a target video, well i thought the same for lair till i saw the game again this E3 that means 1 game of my check list of cgi's that sony showed.

it was done with the ingame engine, it doesnt have to mimic the game play of the game, and once again the game was 50-55% done when showed at E3, lets wait till TGS to see the final product.

thats the problem ppl are setting there hopes high that the ps3 will be a graphical monster. that is bs the graphics will be slightly better than the 360's but what will set the ps3 apart will be the physics.
