In the latest trailer to Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), we get to see the fatality moves of Green Lantern, Raiden, and the Flash. The cheesiness of it all is just too much for me. You should watch it if you want a quick laugh.

Ok, seriously, you call those fatalities? Where's the extreme violence that Mortal Kombat was famous for? And they're seriously calling fatalities of DC characters "heroic brutalities"... it's less fatal, is it? Gah.

» Ugggh.

MORTAL KOMBAT IS A MATURE GAME .. It's not mortal if they're not beaten to a bloody pulp with mutilated body parts. I LOVE the idea of MK vs DC (although I doubt I'll like the game despite the rating), yet I want it to be M.

» blood in enough games.

This one is going to be a Teen rated game. I dont see it to be that much of a big deal, as long as its fun to play ill play it. We get enough gore from the hundreds of other games anyway. Plus, I'm sure the next MK game after this one will be full out blood-and-gore-Mature-rated goodness.

not all of them were ultra gory...

liu kang's first fatality was tame compared to green lantern's finishing move.

scorpion's unmask fatality was on par with what raiden did...

don't tell me everyone misses the duplicate skulls, rib cages, and limbs that appeared during MK3 finishing moves...

truth be told, it wasn't the gore that got me, it was the digitized actors... everything else was cartoonish to me by that point, over the top character designs and flashy moves.
