Eleven characters each from the Mortal Kombat and DC universes will be going head-to-head against each other this November in Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3). Midway revealed the final character lineup for the upcoming fighting game today. Here they are:

The toned-down fatalities (the DC heroes don't have fatalities so no chance of turning Superman into a murderer) will probably turn off a few people, but it's very hard to pass up the chance to beat Shao Kahn into a bloody pulp as Batman, even if Batman does look a bit pudgy in this game.

I don't think that fatalities will be that much of a turnoff, the reason I say this is because all though DC's don't have fatalities, they do have something called "brutalities".
So if you haven't seen Supreman kicking ass and delivering his awesomeness; you need to watch some more trailers .
So how do you beat Superman?
I mean unless each other character gets a special Kryptonite move I don't see how it would work.
And this sounds fun since it's got The Flash, but where's Noob Saibot?

If Midway was smart, they should at least have the whole cast of MK1 and/or MK2 (Kinda similar to what Capcom is doing with SF2 characters in SF4.) Grant it, having Jax, Kintana, and Baraka are a plus (At least Midway was smart to put Shao Kahn; otherwise, its like having Ninja Turtles without Shredder. :p); however, how can you not have the classic characters that helped mold the MK franchise. I mean come on, wheres Goro and Johnny Cage (Reptile would be a plus, but not really needed.) ?! Having Liu Kang and Johnny Cage in MK back in the day was like having Ryu and Ken in SF 2. Plus, without Goro, the game would have just become one of the few long lost 2d fighting game of the 90s, instead of being possibly a potentailly golden franchise.
If Midway wasnt a bunch of sell out, lazy programers, and story writers, the series might still be alive. But ever since Armageddon, ive lost faith in Midway and Ed Boon (Good thing Tobias left when he did. XD). The only things that would bring me back is if Midway does at least 2 or 3 of these things:
1. Please for the love of God, dont make Armageddon cannon. (Need i say why. :p)
2. At least make the fighting engine more unique (Not the same game mechanics as the PS2 games (Broke combos and all.))
3. Bring back the full morphing Shang Tsung. Not for nothing, you guys at Midway have the technology now. I mean you have 25-50 gig for Blu-ray, 8 and higher for HD-DVD (Sorry, dont have 360. :p) to work with now. I dont think memory is an issue now (unless you use the same crappy programmers).
4. (Wishful Thinking, but worth a shot.) Since with the remakes and all. Go back to 2d and release it as a Download game. Grant it, it doesnt have to be like MK1-MKT via real people, but they can possible make it CGI or hi-res/animated sprites. I mean, it would be sooo much easier to code, instead of producing a half finished 3D POS, that you claim to "never have time" to code (even thou you have 2 years to work on it).
Anyway, im expecting the game to fail, bt im still gonna sit back and enjoy the ride. Ok im done.

See a video where Scorpion Vs Superman fight and Mr.boon said that all the DC and MK characters will "match", in the power department . It's not like NFS where some cars are more powerful and that sort . It will be balanced . Think about it Superman will tear everyone apart! lol Well unless he went up against the Hulk . So all up to the player ti decide who wins.
Darksied/ superman compared to Shao Khan+ what a joke....Darksied eye beam+ one hit kill, it can at least knock out superman render his body motionless for a while.......
then again compared to the Mortal kombat roster.....Lex Luthor and the joker are a also quite a joke so I guess there is a tiny balance of power there.
This game will suck due to making every character level of power standard.......where's the extra sparks, and badassness of the characters.....
Even in Marvel vs Capcom, Hulk and Juggernaunt character were kept alive and true to the character due to their attacks dealing alot more damage over characters whose attack was tone down like spider-man......But in the end everything balanced out very well due to the speed of the character and combos.........Maybe I'm asking for too much, it's not like Midway is at the level of Capcom
The DC fighters DO have fatalities. The Joke shoots you with a fake gun and laughs, then pulls out a real gun and shoots you at point blank range in the head and then continues laughing at you as your lifeless body falls to the ground. Its pretty funny.
The DC villains, yes. The heroes only have brutalities.

That is so stupid. Why not have Superman freeze you with his breath and then melt you in to a bloody puddle with his heat rays from his eyes?
When it comes to MAGIC as well... and I believe a majority of them MK characters are magical... I think... idk but they seem like they should be.
