What the heck? We had to do a double-take when we spotted the video above. It's a brawl we didn't conceive even in our wildest dreams, but it's happening: Mortal Kombat's Sub-Zero is duking it out with DC's Batman.
Yes, it's the Batman and yeah, it's the Sub-Zero. The trailer looks awesome and we are lost for words. If you haven't heard, Midway Games is developing a new fighting title called Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe. Earlier rumor seems to be pretty much confirmed with this trailer, and the game's actually already set for release in this year's Fall aboard the Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Sony PlayStation 3 platforms.
And will there be fatalities in this game? Previous rumors said there wouldn't, but the ending of the trailer seems to show otherwise.
The year 2008 is steadily shaping up to be a comeback year of sorts for the fighting game genre. With Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe Joining the likes of Super Smash Bros. Brawl Street Fighter 4, Tekken 6, and the new King of Fighters in the pipeline for the year, it looks like we'll all be having very busy knuckles. We'll keep you posted for more.

This new MK vs DC Universe...cute concept...and I will certain refrain from knocking it until I see more. However, my initial impressions are this...I think I would have rather seen MK vs Marvel, which could possibly be a future title since we have this crossover fighter in development. I just believe that Marvel's characters have a much better match up against the MK characters...Iron Man with Cyrax (Sektor, and Smoke)...Hulk against Goro (Kintaro, and Moloch)...Wolverine against Baraka...etc. The so-stated lack of the traditional fatalities I think hurts the MK series a bit, and from the trailer the gameplay looks very similar to that of the past MK games...especially what looked like aerial kombat.
I am going to give this game a further gander as soon as more info/footage is released, so that I can form a much more thorough opinion.

Good point of view and a good way to advertise it too with videos with each fights you said... but it's dc so lets see... maybe the game will be one of the best fighting games, I don't know... my first impression wasn't good

Got a link to where they said that?
If it's true then I will be passing on this game. I don't want to play a watered down Mortal Kombat that trys to make itself look like a Marvel vs Capcom game.

Doesn't seem to make much sense to me...

now that would be sweet if that kind of thing was added to the game,
or if you play as a MK character the final boss is Superman.
and If you play as a DC character the final boss is...
Shinnok? (I cant think of anyone else maby Onaga.)
we will just to have to wait and see...
