PS3 bonus game offer - Image 1

Well, we may not get price cuts for the PS3 this Christmas but SCE Australia hopes to entice reluctant buyers by offering a free game of their choice with every 80 GB console purchased. Mind you, the choice will only be among four preselected PlayStation 3 titles: LittleBigPlanetMotorStorm: Pacific Rift, SingStar Vol 1 Microphone Bundle and SingStar Vol 2 Microphone Bundle.

Sound like a nice deal, i suppose, although as I understand it, every other console already has some kind of bundle deal with one free game. Sometimes two. Add that to 360 price cuts and Sony's still got a ways to go to make their console more attractive for the Christmas season. To give them due credit, at least they're trying... they're just not trying hard enough, I think.

Aaanyway, that's just my personal opinion so feel free to take the news however you want. The promo period for this bonus game offer ends on the 29th of January 2009 and is only available in participating outlets in Australia and New Zealand.

» Sony is not prepared for christmas

Not that they don't have good games. Tons of great titles are popping, like resistance 2 and valkyria chronicles, but where is the price cut? Where are the bundles? Where are the new and hidden games to pop?... well, there is none.
