You may remember our article posted a few days ago about Electronic Arts' website for their new RPG game codenamed "Project Gray Company". The RPG is dubbed to be part of the 'next generation' of RPGs. IGN have managed to get a short interview with EA executive producer Steve Gray, who told IGN that in the game will feature a massive open world, and will be powered by the same AI technology used by The Sims 2.

The development team behind the game are supposedly a group of 'RPG veterans', and has been under development for over a year. The player will also have the chance to decide whether to follow the storyline, or complete separate missions by exploring the environment. Here's the interesting part: Although no details on the platform of the game were released, if you look in the source code both the Xbox360 and PS3 are mentioned as specific consoles.

We may get more information on this game from E3, where we will be sending a team to get the latest news, first. Be sure to stay tuned to QJ.net throughout E3.

the team of "RPG veterans" is the same team that made lord of the rings: the third age. they should add the word wannabe. I was a member of that team during third age and it was the worst development experience ever.

you forgo one factor.

If it turns out that its a mixture of Elder Scrolls meets LOTR, and developed by bethesda. then it would be great.

but its developed by a crap team at EA.

The whole red wood shores studios has a formula that they apply to games like this. take one license, rip off the most popular game of the genre at the time, add 200 developers, and exchange lots of advertising for good reviews (for a bad game) in plenty of magazines and web sites.
