Team Xbox reports that in its financial results conference call, Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto IV will be shipped simultaneously for the Xbox 360 and the PS3 come this October. (Yeah, we gave an October 16 date before, this is basically further confirmation of that).
Take Two has also announced that Rockstar will introduce exclusive episodic content downloads for the game come 2008. Hopefully, by then, we're all able to play the Game on our PS3s while we download the said content. That is of course, if most of the episodic content will be an exclusive to the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV. Don't worry, reports have said that the PS3 downloads will be "pretty much the same" as the Xbox 360.
Okay, okay, we're sorry. So far this isn't new stuff. Here, we'll make it up to you.
The GTAIV Official Site is now up, and if the counter on it is right, we can expect our first teaser trailer for the game on March 29. Brace yourselves, because the potential number of folks who'll download the trailer might just slow down the connection you're on.

grand theft auto and then grand theft auto 2 and after that gta3 and now gta 4 so maybe it ll be mordern day..

Look I love my 360 and I actually don't care for the PS3 much, so I'm trying to make this sound as unbiased as possible myself, but how hard would it have been to simply say "our console of choice" instead of "PS3"?

Okay for the dumbass who said GTAIV is a sequel. It's not.
GTAIII was labeled that not only because it was the third major game but because it was the first game in the 3D era, (gta 3, 3d) and it was the begining of a planned 3 game storyline. And now for all you people who say that III,VC, and SanAn had nothing to do with each other, piss off. They all had characters mix and match between them.
GTA IV is the start of next generation of games. With most likely real life graphics. And for the games after GTA IV we'll see named titles like Vice City and San Andreas.

GTA 3 (and vice city and san andreas) used the same game engine.
That's why the next game is GTA 4. This means a totally new engine for the Next-Gen consoles... excited?!

All of you who diss the PS3 are just mad because you cant afford one. I personally own a Wii, PS3, 360, and PSP. So I can say they are both good systems but......(lol call me a PS3 fanboy if you please) PS3 does have better graphics in gameplay but mostly in the movies in the Games.

GTA IV will probably be set in Europe. I read an article saying source close to Rockstar is saying they are looking for a location outside of North America for their next game with Europe being a strong contender.
However, if it is set in Europe expect to see more melee fights as it's a lot harder to get a gun over here in the UK and Europe than it is in the USA.
I'd really like to see some sort of Havok physics going on in this game, the preanimated deaths don't cut it anymore with me.
