Moment of truth: Team ICO to finally unveil new PS3 game at E3 '09 |

Hold on to your seats, folks. It looks like we're finally going to be able to get a glimpse at Team ICO's ultra-secret game!Sony's sure going to put up a grand show during this year's E3. Their PSP line-up is pretty huge as it is. And for the PS3, you can bet your last rat's ass that God of War 3 and Heavy Rain will be there. But what else is there?
Somehow, Sony's managed to keep Team ICO's secret game under the radar for months now. But in E3, it looks like the curtains will finally be pulled up.
Oooooh, yes - this feels so cathartic, considering it's one of the things I'm personally looking forward to this year. The new game following the spirit of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus is now confirmed to appear in E3 in the form of a trailer and some gameplay footage.
Heck, we might actually hear about the new game even sooner, during GDC (which starts two weeks from now!). Though the new game isn't confirmed to be revealed during the event, Ico and Colossus creator Fumito Ueda is confirmed to have a keynote speech duing GDC '09.

How am I supposed to pick whether I want a PS3 or a 360 when stuff like this shows up and makes it harder to choose between the two...
but things looks like it's in favor of the ps3 for 2009, for now... anyways it's because of the exclusive games coming out for the ps3, i wonder wat would microsoft bring to make the same caliber of GOW 3, killzone 2, inFamous etc...
Compare the big titles only, I see Gears, Halo, Fable for Xbox. GoW3, Infamous, KZ2, Uncharted, Resistance, LBP, MGS4, Motorstorm, MLB the Show and future titles will be Gran Turismo, and might include Heavenly Sword and Warhawk, Syphon Filter...
Cool. Be interesting to see what they come up with, but if I'm honest I didn't enjoy Ico or Shadow of the Colossus that much. I respected the work gone into them but I didn't find either one much fun. Still, more big things for PS3 is always good for me.
It's kinda interesting to see how this all plays out. Sony's continuously pulling out their big guns, and it looks like they could definitely own E3. But Microsoft... they've been pretty quiet. The last we heard from them... they said something like, "we've got some unannounced titles for 2009." http://www.qj.net/Microsoft-has-360-exclusives-for-2009/pg/49/aid/128044 ^read that in full. Quite interesting take from MS. But anyways, I'm just waiting to see E3 (and GDC too for that matter). Lots of new games to be revealed there for sure, no matter what console you're keeping an eye on.
If youve got enough money where the price difference between the two doesnt really matter then I would say go with the PS3. I personally play mine a lot more than my 360 at the moment(cant speak for everyone though, of course). But the 360 is very cheap. And as was previously mentioned, the 360 supposedly has a hidden exclusive line-up this year. But the PS3 also has a lot of stuff around the corner too, so wait until E3 if you can.
It's seems like the PS3 vs. America age is finally ending. Next is the Xbox 360 vs. Japan, Star Ocean helped with that.
what day is E3 2009?
it's gonna take more than Star Ocean. A Monster Hunter perhaps? But I don't really think the Japanese market is the most relevant market at the moment. I feel like it's mainly for bragging rights.

shadow of the colossus was one of the pretyest games i have ever played and graficly it was a blast for the ps2 it tottaly blow my mind (sorry for the miss spells) :p
what i dont get is why the americans have a better PlaystationStore then us europeans we are clearly the strong market for the ps3 and honestly... i hate my PlaystatioStore. its a pain in the ass to find anything there and no movies or what so ever Sony should have more consoderation for us...
Even if they just remade Colossus for the PS3, I'd be totally stoked. Just imagine what that would look like *droool*
i totally agree with you. SotC is my fav PS2 game of all time(seriously). i remember i was telling(or maybe forcing) my classmates to buy this game coz it really rocks. such large scale integration and an outstanding graphics.*drool* Team ICO doesn't release a lot of games, ICO and SotC were the only ones i know, but those games really had me playing for hours. its such a masterpiece. oh gee i think I'm a bit exaggerating, oh well i really loved SotC a lot. Go Team ICO. maybe M$ would buy this games exclusivity just like the rest. lol. just kiddin. P.S.: I love Jak and Daxter series too. When will a PS3 version come out?
The only problem they have with them being quite is that there won't be much hype to the games they're going to release. For this reason the number of buyers will be reduced. See even Gameeye2 is having a 2nd thought. Hope the games that are unannounced are not published by M$ because many of the games they publish sucks. They don't make the game they just publish the wrong games. $ony on the other hand are over hyping their games which gives them sales but also disappoints fans when they realize that the game is good but not perfect*looks at Killzone 2*.
Game that should have stopped being made after 3. There is absolutely no storyline that you can hang on. RPG needs to have stories because other wise it'll be another WoW. 1 of those 10 million is going to shoot me in the head 2night for saying that.
And just say pick the console you like or has the taste of games you enjoy. Both systems have good games for their target Audience. But if you can manage to buy both systems, assuming you have good money, then do that. You can't go wrong with buying both At different times. I like my PS3, but there is some 360 games I want to play though. So just follow your tastes, cause you can't go wrong with them.
4 is coming out in the near future i think, they already have the name patented. its like Jak: The New Frontier or somethin like that lol
why dont you make other accounts to the us and japan stores? I have accounts for North America, Europe, Japan, and UK
i enjoyed Shadow of the Colossus. i mean. its like focused towards nature then killing itself. its a great game. i wonder what they can achieve with the PS3 machine. breathtakingly beautiful i hope.
I would say go with the ps3. Most of the games on ps3 are NOT exclusive. It shares multiplatform games with the ps3 and most of its "exclusives" are also on the pc. Im willing to bet halo 3 gears 2 and Fable 2 will be ported to the pc soon enough. Also ps3 is getting sigma 2 so ninja gaiden 2 isn't really exclusive anymore. All in all ps3 is the better choice this year with so many exclusive games coming out plus all of the multiplatform game. Plus if you are a final fantasy fan you can play XIII and versus XIII. PS3 version will most likely look best since it will be complete before they even start localization and the 360 version. Make the right choice.
yup yup!. Shadow of the Colossus is a serene game encompassing the RGB spectrum of Human Emotions. Love, Beauty, Anger, Serene, etc etc etc. yeah. theres alot of things going on and its beautiful. will look forward to the new game. for sure. =)
