Modern Warfare 2 Hardened Edition priced as well as Prestige Edition *UPDATE* |

We still don't have any word on how high those night vision goggles will jack the Modern Warfare 2 Prestige edition up (my guess: a LOT), but Infinity Ward's Robert "fourzerotwo" Bowling has revealed the price point for the goggles-less Hardened Edition.
According to Bowling's Twitter, the Hardened Edition will set gamers back US$ 80. For that amount you get a copy of the game along with an art book and a download code for the original Call of Duty for Xbox Live, PSN, and PC. All of that comes in a steel case.
Modern Warfare 2 -- or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Whichever one they're going with. The Hardened Edition doesn't even have the "Call of Duty" tag -- will be out on November 11 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

The Prestige Edition has now also been priced. Be prepared to shell out US$ 149.99 for it. Thank to Master Chef for the tip.

collectors edition usually only includes some art and a tin box but cost $10 more. This is worth it if you want to play the original Call of Duty though not sure if that's really worth the additional $10

then its worth it since a pair of decent googles is worth about $80 already. 150 - 80 + $70 since it includes hardened version. Now if you really want a great pair of NVG then you will need to spend 400+
Is this game good? Never played any of the Call of Duty games. and Killzone 2 was my only shooter game.

please if all you have is killzone, pick up another one of these great shooters and you won't regret it
Well I only got my PS3 recently and I've played gears 1/2 and rainbow six.
Call of Duty 4 Modern warfare is an awesome game, ansd one of the most played online games both in the PSN and Xbox Live(even beating Halo 3). So yes, it is a good recommendation. Also the devs of Killzone had some inspiration from COD4 so you can imagine how influential that game is.

Im the same as you Freya, having played and purchased only KZ2. I just cant seem to buy another shooter since I already have one, and they all seem to me like the same mechanics with different textures. Just my opinion.
I think its worth it if the goggles are decent. I checked amazon and the prices are over $400+ for the goggles. Well I never owned one so I might just buy it.
If i'm not mistaken aren't games 60 bucks now and that CE is 60 bucks so that's 20 dollar more for useless stuff.

never played Gears of war, or battlefield
but i can tell you now rainbow six, the new titles atleast are definitely last gen games
and resistance 2 is total *****, 1 is good or decent though
i loved killzone, i loved the way it moved, however i think the maps need a bit more work, so i would say cod is still by far the best fps, make sure you get cod 4 , 5 is total *****
and who mentioned warhawk, that was the most useless game ive ever played, im kept trying to get into playing it, but honestly its crap, you just get bored and end up pointlessly flying around in a trance
also what makes a fps, is the way the player moves and the maps, thats what i believe are the main factors seperating the good and the bad

however im surprised at the prices for all versions, cheaper than i thought
games here tend to go for £50 ~+ $80, so if the price conversion remains, the basic version must be around £40 not bad
I wouldn't want to get the first CoD on Xbox Live so if I were to get the hardened version it'd be just for the steel case. And I wouldn't want the goggles either. But...because its Modern Warfare 2 I might start saving up for one version or the other. Games I really like deserve my full support so I guess I'll see later on down the line.
did you try shooting at the people? anyway warhawk is the only game anyone mentioned that doesnt sucks
pointless getting this on console hardcore MW2 players would go PC, rent server join clan off you go LAN IT UP BOYS prestige will be a waste to buy on CONSOLE it so better have PC version i was thinking of gettin it for PS3 but just doesnt seem that seriously when it comes to vent/clan on PC i like the war setups......
