Fresh off Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's PlayStation Day comes Mirror's Edge (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC), that promised title by Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment to be published by Electronic Arts. It was said to be a first-person shooter featuring a girl in futuristic punk, and we've seen screenshots. Now, we have a full trailer proving it's really an FPS with heavy platforming elements.

You might want to wear sunglasses before watching the Mirror's Edge trailer below, because it's oddly bright for the most part. EA unleashed pure in-game footage, which meant a lot of jumping around, sliding through wires, and grappling enemies with the female protagonist's legs. There are guns, but we only get to see a pistol fired once.

Chances are, you'd probably skip all the introductions and jump to the video. We'll just have you know that Mirror's Edge is slated for release later this year and leave it at that. Enjoy the trailer!

» Wow!

i can't believe this is ingame footage, that's really, really cool how they can catch acrobatic moments in a game like this! Being a huge parkour/freerunning enthusiast, I wonder how they'll be able to take this game to. I'm sure many others like me hope that this game won't ramp up hype and turn out to be a flop, because this FPS game is unique.
