Military Madness: Nectaris marching to PSN

Kyle Vincent Tunison of Backbone Entertainment took to the PlayStation US blog to "re-announce" the arrival of the TurboGrafx-16 original, Military Madness: Nectaris to the PSN. "Re-announced", because as he explained, "the game was first brought to the public eye several months ago, but at the time, the game could only be talked about in terms of bullet points."

This time around, therefore, he would like to unveil the more detailed nitty-gritty of the "greatest turn-based strategy franchise of all time" for its PSN incarnation. What's in store for you in this game?
  • 20 different types of units, each with own unique (dis)advantages
  • over half a dozen different terrain types
  • no economic system: no money, no unit production
    • Military Madness is tactics-centered, not resource management-focused
  • Single-player experience
    • 32 classic missions from the original TurboGrafx-16 game (1989)

Sounds groovy, eh? Still no release date for this one yet, but we expect to find out more about it soon. We hear there's an upcoming video interview with Jeff Rubenstein via the PlayStation Eye. We'll be on the lookout for that one.
