After announcing their revenue report for the third quarter Midway, one of the major game publishers who recently released Stranglehold for the Xbox 360 and PC, recently announced that they have successfully solved their PS3 programming issues. Midway's CEO David Zucker stated that they managed to fix the problem during the development process for both Stranglehold and Unreal Tournament 3. According to Zucker,

(The fixes) include... making sure that the framerate, networking, and graphical features are at parity between the platforms. We've also encountered challenges as a result of shipping two of the very first PS3 games using Epic's Unreal Engine 3.

Midway is also sticking to their current plan regarding Epic Games' Unreal Tournament 3, and that is to ship Unreal Tournament 3 for the PC this month, with the PS3 version to follow soon. However, Zucker said that they currently are sticking to the 2008 release of the game for the Xbox 360.

Zucker also mentioned a yet-to-be-announced title, which he tags as an "ambitious open-world game". It sure sounds interesting coming from Midway, and since they already have the necessary fixes to PS3 development-related issues, it's almost an assurance that we're going to have an epic title coming our way, from the folks at Midway.
