According to Boon, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe will be a story-driven game. If you really want to understand Midway's crossover, the story mode will bear out the details as to how and why the two universes came to merge in the first place. As Boon put it: "Everything is going to make sense when you play the story mode."
While this new game may have DC Universe characters in it, Midway is striving to keep the Mortal Kombat feel intact. Nevertheless, he says that the game may end up with a Teen Rating. This means that while the game will be brutal and intense you probably won't get to see Sub Zero decapitate Batman or anything like that. Instead, Boon said that finishing moves will reportedly trigger certain "big events."

Mortal Kombat has sucked since John Tobias left Ed Boon's shoulder.
No decapitation and a Teen rating.... this isn't mortal kombat, if thats the case im gonna spend my money on naruto ninja storm, DC Vs. Mortal Kombat... hows that gonna make sense lol
