Midnight Club: Los Angeles speeding its way to PS3 and 360 |
Ó
If we are not mistaken, the Midnight Club franchise is probably one of the first titles that featured street car racing. It's owned by Rockstar Games (San Diego) and the earlier versions always used fictional vehicles because automobile manufacturers didn't want to be associated with the illegal sport. That didn't stop Rockstar though from creating more titles for the series and in fact, it just announced fourth installment Midnight Club: Los Angeles for platforms Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (PS3). There's still no details available for this game but Rockstar promised that it will remain true to the franchise's open-world racing-at-break-neck-speed setting.
Midnight Club series producer Jay Panek mentioned that their goal with Midnight Club: Los Angeles is to evolve on all possible levels and stay true to the hardcore gaming experience the series is known for. Likewise, Rockstar Games Founder and Executive Producer Sam Houser commented,
Rockstar San Diego looks to once again push the boundaries and expectations of what a racing game can be. Rockstar San Diego has always been the technology leader in delivering the ultimate racing experience, and with this game, they are looking to re-define the idea of a completely immersive racing game experience, both offline and online.
Given the relative success of the franchise, we wouldn't be surprised if real cars will start appearing on this game. As always, you'll hear about more details as soon as we get them.

Just so you know Midnight club 3 did have real cars, come on that picture was from the boxart of midnight club 3, and thats a chrysler 300C a real car!
Yea like element said there was real cars in the last game and im guessing it will stay the same for this one too
midnight club 3 dub edition remix ,that is my favoritist game, i played this game wayyy more than any other game.....even san andreas, the customization is awsome' and showing them off online, is the best.......i want to pre orderit now....this is the best news ive heard since i knew half life 2 and portal, were gonna end up on my ps3 i kinda had a feeling that their was going to be another game, cause at a recent dub shows' they were being sponsored by rockstar games................i really hope DUB is associated with the project i lost intrest in gta 4 cause of the comment they made saying..........."where not going to make a fun game where yoju can run around shooting people and go crazy driving, this game will be more boring ' and keep us away from lawsuit's, Sorry gamers;;;;;;;;you just got F.U.CC.K'T"..............
Midnight Club was one of the best launch games for the playstation 2.
I've been waiting for this anouncement for some time now. Grand Theft Auto is great and all, but to me Midnight Club is the real showstopper. To see this in highDef, but with the same well-tuned play mechanics will make those PS3 and 360 console investments even more worthwhile.
im personally boycotting it until i see BC list update with news of MC 3 dub on it. It was one of THE best games from original Xbox, and im still disappointed in the wasted efforts of getting it working. I'll keep my money personally as a silent protest. I know alot of friends and others on forums asking if the old game could be worked on, but nothing has come about. Most folks have a copy collecting dust...and its a damn waste of a fine game.
ya, in MC1/2 they used fake cars (even tho u can clearly tell what kind they r) but in DUB and REMIX, they used real cars. they should put the mauroder(or sumtin that can plow) on MCLA, that car was fun to drive on MC1.
