Microsoft doesn't feel at Home - Image 1

A big "oh no, they didn't!" moment came about last week when Ernst & Young revealed that some of their firm's clients are joining in on tests to see if PlayStation Home could become a viable environment for virtual corporate meetings. One of Ernst & Young's clients is Microsoft.

Now, speaking to CVG, Microsoft has dismissed these reports, saying that they "will not be using Home as a tool for virtual meetings." And just to prove the point, a follow up statement reads:

With fantastic Microsoft-developed products and applications like Live Meeting and even Xbox Live Party, we have everything we need to host a virtual meeting in-house.

Looks like they took a page from Aaron Greenberg's "Home feels like 2005 tech in 2008" book.

Obviously Microsoft denies this

» Well of course

Why would Microsoft use Playstation Home when they have plenty of tools previous to PS3 that can do live video chat with info sharing?

by PimpFriedRice - 2009-01-05 21:31
» did you expect anything less?

Do you think that M$ would come out and say that they own PS3 and use them for Home? Of course not. Just the same as another M$ executive would say that the Xbox 360 could equally handle a game even though it was fully optimized to take full advantage of the PS3 capabilities. They would never admit to anything that makes them look inferior.

» crap

Everyone should know by now that M$ are full of crap.

I have been off live for about 1 year and now with the NXE its so slow and crashes the 360 all the time. It's so pathetic.

I think M$ does have its hand in Home as Home is as crap as anything M$ does.

I was asked today "What original thing has Mirco$oft actually given us?" My answer was "BSOD and 3RROD"

Everything M$ has done is stolen from someone else but pushed out before the others can release thiers so its full of bugs.

360 was stolen from PS3($ony). Windows was stolen from Apple. Zune was stolen from iPod (Apple). Xbox was stolen from Playstation ($ony).

The only thing M$ has given us that is genuinely thiers is error codes. Blue screens, green screens, red lights, etc.

Micro$oft sucks so why do people give them so much money? Got me stumped....

» U idiot!

You are a complete idiot and that is the worse attempt iv seen at bashing Microsoft.

Speak for yourself about NXE but its working fine and dandy on my system.

What has the original xbox given us?

Well for one its revolutionized online gaming if it where left up to Nintendo and Sony, i doubt wed be having the same level of great online play as we do now if it wasn't for Microsoft.

360 was stolen from the PS3? Are you an utter retard? The 360 came way before the PS3 did and since when did Sony every have a 360 that Microsoft would steal off( or maybe you cant write a proper sentence). I didn't know only Apple are allowed to make MP3 players and anyone else that makes one is considered stealing from Apple.

You suck and you should think before you time to avoid making yourself look like an utter dumb ass.

I always though that PC revolutionize online gaming. I don't see the point of live, I actually paid 50 bucks for it. It's a rip off. I thought it was better than PSN but it's the damn same thing. Nothing special about it.

Actually the Dreamcast was the first game console with true online gaming. Xbox is very innovative though, they are the only online gaming service to charge their users a membership fee, despite the company already having over $50 billion dollars.

Gotta love those Xbox Fanboys lowering our (true) PS3 comments and raising their own CrapBox comments. And BIH, for your comment, the Xbox 360 WAS SO built from the PlayStation 3.

Don't believe me? Read this http://ps3.qj.net/Xbox-360-built-around-PlayStation-3-Cell-technology/pg/49/aid/127673 and come comment back.

» Wow

See what I mean? Xbox fanboys just obliterated my stars to 0/5 just because they hate the truth.
