MGS4 Teaser Video Straight From TGS |

Ó
This fresh teaser video of MGS4, which is actually the second part of the teaser, from the conference in Japan has subjected the newest addition to the Metal Gear series under scrutiny. We don't know if it's just us, but we are rather perplexed by the seemingly animation downgrades. There are really many things to consider, including the fact that what we have here isn't the final product yet.
Also, around 45 seconds into the video, we are rather distracted by the movements of the two soldiers. It very much seems they're running in the same animation and same sequence. It looks quite awkward, to really be honest about it. MGS4 actually is Hideo Kojima's last Metal Gear game. We hope this title won't fail to impress come 2007 for a more fitting exit.

at least wait until a high rez or HD version of the trailer is made available before getting into a discussion of any possible graphical downgrades.
also, how many games have we seen in this next generation that have had spot on animation?
look at Fight Night for the 360. beautiful visuals, but the boxers still have that jerkiness that is the telltale sign that it isn't a real image.
also, MGS4 still has a year of development time. having worked in gaming for 3 years, i know that the final polishing of any game doesn't really take place until the last two to three months before release (while developers always aim for polish throughout the entire games lifecycle, the "final polishing" isn't done until last. hence, the "final" moniker).
as for me, i thought the gameplay and the graphics looked fine. but then again, it is a low quality video of what is to be a high definition game. i'll reserve my judgements.

2 - Gameplay? - This IS gameplay, but not all from a gameplay viewpoint, Kojima moved the camera viewpoint around to make it more cinematic, but this is in game.
3 - Graphics - Are you serious? Have you seen the quality of this video, it's *****. The direct feed will be far better.
And yes the second part of the video is far better. Not to mention the full trailer will be 6 minutes long. And the game has another year of development left, so just chill the ***** out.
