Metallica's Death Magnetic album on Guitar Hero III out this week |
Ó
More information finally arrives the new Metallica album that's coming out on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Xbox 360, Wii, PC, PlayStation 3). The band's Death Magnetic album was first announced to be joining the lineup for Activision Blizzard's rockin' game at the E3 last July. The DLC will be made available via the XBL and PSN this coming Friday, September 12, and will cost US$ 17.99 (1440 MS Points). There are 10 standard songs in the album, but apart from that, there will also be two exclusive renditions of Suicide & Redemption, with band members James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett doing extended solos.
Also, keeping true to what's been reported earlier, the album will also be forward compatible with the other Guitar Hero title set to come out, Guitar Hero World Tour. If you can't get enough of Metallica on your consoles, then just keep patient. It's been revealed a couple of months back that there will be a Metallica Guitar Hero version in the works, after all, much like what they did for Aerosmith.

instead of giving us a Kill, Ride, Master and Justice (ok may be Black for some of you guys too ;) ) combo like Areosmith. It's like they are using the DLC sales to supplement the CD sales... just my theory though.
Yes we where all disappointed with Load,
And yes Re-Load was nothing more than an apology for Load,
and yes St. Anger blew chunks,
but this album is definatley worth listening to, and I can't wait to play the game version. The album is intense, with some songs sounding as intense as Kill Em' All. The first song of the disk reminds me of the Intesity of "Battery".
I know a lot of people are all but hurt over Metallica lately, but if you really like their earlier music, this album is gold, blame bad sales on the stigma of the last album if it flops.
