Metal Gear Solid 4 in-depth interview video |
Ó
In the video, we find out more about Old Snake's high-tech gadgets he's bringing into the fray, namely the OctoCamo and the Solid Eye. The OctoCamo, as we've seen from the demo, is an adaptive camouflage that 'paints' Snake's sneaking suit with the pattern, color, or texture of whatever surface he's in contact with. It appears that it goes all the way up to his head, courtesy of a mask he can put on at a moment's notice.
Also, near the tail end of the video, the million-yen question is finally answered - yes, it is the end of Snake's story in Metal Gear Solid, and everything will be concluded in Metal Gear Solid 4. However, it's also to note that they didn't say it's not the END of the series itself. So maybe (just maybe) it's Snake's part in the story that's finished, and there will be a new hero to focus on. Here's hoping, anyway.

Awesome.
As simple as it sounds...the DVD that was released with MGS3 is called "The Metal Gear Saga: Volume 1". A long time ago, an English teacher of mine make it abundantly clear that you can't have a 'Volume 1' without a 'Volume 2' (otherwise it would just be titled "The Metal Gear Saga"). To me, this means that since Volume 1 covered Snake's series of games (from MG up to MGS4), there has to EVENTUALLY be a Volume 2, that covers another series of games.
At least that's my view.
I don't think anyone is badass enough to fill Snake's shoes.. But a Metal Gear where your choices matter, this is a must play for me.
That is one title that really demonstrate real potential. I mean it is incredible. Damn.... I'll have to buy a PS3.
