If you're a Metal Gear series fan, you either totally loved or totally hated sniper boss battles with The End or Sniper Wolf. Long-range rifle battles require patience, precision, and skill to win, and that's a facet you'll have to be good at when you play Kojima Productions' Metal Gear Online by the time it becomes available to the public.

Snipers are valued in any FPS team games because of the cover fire they can provide to moving allies and their ability to take out hapless foes from afar. In this trailer, you'll see some of the applications that a handy boom-stick will have in combat. Check it out:

Metal Gear Online is a stand-alone, online action game from Konami and Kojima Productions based on the popular Metal Gear franchise. It employs the same game engine that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots uses, providing the same high-quality visuals that the solo campaign title has. Metal Gear Online draws its lineage from the online mode that Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence had when it launched.

Damn, it took a while, but looks like you can actually die in this game. For a big part of the beginning, it looked like you could only fall asleep, which would have been really dumb.
