Media Molecule has been churning out extra content for LittleBigPlanet practically every week since the game's release. Right now they're even teasing a Ghostbusters pack. They have no intention of stopping any time soon however, since the community is still clamoring for more.

Speaking to Play Magazine, Media Molecule's David Smith revealed that of the content that LittleBigPlanet players are asking for, new levels remain a high priority.

“The community is often requesting new levels from Mm, so this is high on our list of priorities,” Smith said. “But we have to balance this against the value of us doing other things such as creating new creative tools or improving the community aspects of the game.”

The levels created birthed through the use of these creative tools are also injecting the game's developers with a lot of inspiration. The steady rise in user-made levels has also spurred Media Molecule on to releasing high-quality content.

“We are inspired to make the creation process easier for them and to make better levels that outdo the best of the community," said Smith. "I’m glad to say that this challenge is getting harder as the quality of the community levels improve on a daily basis.”

my god

I bought this game for $60 (I preordered it too) and so far it's been nothing but a microtransactio n fest.

Have they even *****ing put in multiplayer create mode yet? I was shocked when I popped in my disk and found it was a feature that was going to be "added later". That's the whole reason I bought the game anyways. I'm a big fan of community map creation such as Jedi Knight Academy "Lugor mod", and Garry's mod.

...

No one's forcing you to buy any of the DLC and they've given holiday costumes away for free.

Online Create is in beta stages now. Many players got invited to help test.

I'm still amazed at the demand for new levels for a game that has countless user made levels created all the time.
