Mass Effect 3 multiplatform release will be simultaneous |
Listed in: PS3 Tags: BioWare, Electronic Arts, mass effect 3, playstation 3 updates
Since Mass Effect 2 is already on its way to the PS3, there's no reason to believe that the next game wouldn't follow. Still, nothing beats a good confirmation. So here you go - Mass Effect 3 will also be available to PlayStation gamers.

So it's really console-exclusive no more, and BioWare promises that the game will be released simultaneously across the Xbox 360, PC, and the PS3 during the holidays of 2011. None of that timed-exclusivity business. Both EA and BioWare haven't spilled much else, other than "[BioWare] can't wait to show you what the team is doing to make Mass Effect 3 an even bigger success."
With Mass Effect 2 coming January to the PS3, the user base will have two Mass Effect games to play in the same year. Several months should be enough to get you well-acquainted with the universe and play through the game, so you could get cracking on the third once it launches. That is, unless you're this crazy.

I really hope it doesn't, but let's just say I'll be expecting it and will be pleasantly surprised if it doesn't happen.
