Play Beyond? OS beyond. Presuming you are of the inclination, you might have played a bit with the PS3's other-OS Linux capabilities, installing it, running it, seeing what programs you could play with in it. And, as we've found, Linux can be quite the delight with Sony's console, once you pick yer poison: Fedora, Yellow Dog, Gentoo, SUSE, Ubuntu.

Speaking of Ubuntu, the people-friendly Linux: the fellow over at the Ubuntu community put together a one-stop shop for Ubuntu on the PS3. It combines installation and running instructions, and resources for anyone who might like to try any of the Ubuntu family (Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Edubuntu) on their console. we need to make a ps3-specific version of linux. simple, easy to access network etc. no desktop crap, just media hub and a few extras. AIM: izzle ma snizzle if interested.

will someone please create a linux that has everything you need included, a linux for bundle cd or dvd perhaps? for those common people who hasnt have any idea how install linux on their ps3 but wanting a taste of linux on ps3. thank you in advance.

what risk this is legit since sony let you install what ever linux you want on the PS3
