While the folks at London enjoyed HDTV screens, people in Paris, France got a good glimpse of the Xbox hearts you riverboat, and folks at Durban, South Africa got their midnight launch cancelled because retailer's orders didn't make it to the store (thank god for the demo units at the launch), and various folks around the world bought beer, the folks of Malta were a bit more appreciative and direct.
Games Radar writes: "PlayStation 3 sold out in Malta, and was the fasting-selling gaming brand in the country's history, with all 250 of the consoles sent to the small island snapped up almost immediately. Can Xbox 360 make the same boast?"
If we can now somehow trade Malta's interest with Australia's. Hmm...

I swear,, if Sony actually hyped the PS3, and did a massive advertising campaign, people would have actually known it was released last thursday.
Seriously, only a few retailers advertising in newspapers, and a harvey norman commercial with the PS3 'on fire', because its "hot, hot, hot" was pathetic.
Knowing Sonys massive userbase here in Oz you would have thought there would have been a massive buildup..

YEP - Maltese ppl are amognst the most "silly" brand loyal ppl in the world .... basically for most ppl 'Sony can do no bad - MS is evil itself' .... aw well ... i've got no nex-gen console yet - but IMO PS3 too expensive - and gamewise x360 has nothing to envy - i'm getting a 360!
