IGN's preview of 2K Sports' Major League Baseball 2K7 talks about how the devs have gone back and overhauled the game somewhat, trying to improve the features offered in last year's installment and taking advantage of the PS3's capabilities. Stuff like more accurate player models, some redesigned gameplay features, pull-down menus, and umpires with unique personalities. But the big question's really got to be "how are you going to play the game with the SIXAXIS?" Well, IGN also reveals how (so far) players will bat using motion-sensing. It's kinda... okay, let us break it down to keep things simple:
- On the plate: hold SIXAXIS level in front of you.
- To bat: push the SIXAXIS forwards to make contact with the ball.
- Push or pull the ball left.right: twist the SIXAXIS in the desired direction.
- Pop or ground ball: twist the SIXAXIS up 30 degrees to send the ball flying; twist down the same to keep it low.
