Early this morning, SCEA released an update for the MAG public beta bringing the version up to 1.30. This rather sizable updated saw about 8,000 updates and fixes - but the SCEA director of development, Seth Luisi, wasn't crazy enough to post 'em all at the PlayStation Blog. He did, however, give us a quick list of highlights from the changelog.

And those highlights are:
  • Framerate improvements in all environments
  • Vote/ Kick implemented
  • Art and lighting updates to all levels
  • Art updates to weapons, vehicles and objects
  • Animation improvement and updates
  • Client patching improvements
  • Design tuning on all environments (attacker/defender, out of bounds, sightlines, routingÂ…)
  • Tuned all skills (skill point expense, skill trees, skill effects)
  • Tuning pass on experience rewarded for all actions (resuscitate, heal other, destroy turret, destroy motor poolÂ….)
  • Tuning pass on player & leadership experience progressions
  • Full audio tuning pass
  • Bunker, APC, and Spawn camera adjustments
  • Lowered initial spawn times for attackers and defenders for all gametypes
  • Update Major/Minor victory and loss percentages and conditions for all gametypes
  • Updated Domination gametype scoring values
  • Improved weapon feel and hit feedback
Gotta appreciate the voting and kicking implementations, especially if you're quite picky with the ones you play with. Nothing like filtering the losers out, eh?

» omg that's crazy

the "patch" is more than 3GB in size and downloads at a ridicolous speed (ridicolously slow) I think they have re-done the game from scratch..

» Screw MAG Beta Patch

Yeah, thats why I stopped once the Public Beta started.... I got my time in the first wave. These patches are ridiculous.

» Took 4 hours

Took me 4 hours yea it took a while I dident care though I set it up then did something else. A little annoying but defenetly not gonna stop playing because of occasional patches. Good thing I dident pay anything for the beta

» MAG sucks

This game is so hyped and is just disapointing in nearly every aspect it's no where near worth the energy consumption it takes to update it. This game will fail harder than KZ2 did.

» re:

i felt mag was quite lacking in the fun department. i didnt enjoy it. maybe it's unfair to judge cause it's in its beta phase.

kz2 was dope

ahhh h1web, when are you going to learn to keep your extremely gay, one eyed comments to yourself?

Seriously all your comments are just unnecessary and just plain irritating.
