LOVEFiLM coming to UK PS3s this November |

When Netflix was announced for the PS3 late last year, a lot of European console owners felt left out by the online movie rental service. Now fast forward to 2010 and we got UK’s answer to Netflix, LoveFilm. In a groundbreaking announcement revealed today, Sony Computer Entertainment UK and LOVEFiLM agreed to bring the streaming service to millions of PlayStation 3 users across the United Kingdom starting this November.
This means that PS3 owners who will subscribe to LOVEFiLM will be able to stream thousands of movies directly to their TVs, through their PS3s and open a new world of interactivity with the online service. According to the press release handed out by the company:
"The LOVEFiLM service will become available on the XMB (Xross Media Bar) on all internet-connected PS3s, providing most members of LOVEFiLM on subscription packages access to thousands of titles from major studios and independents, streamed instantly to their TV via their PS3, in addition to the rental by post services. Members will be able to scroll through titles on the page, also search through categories including 'Pick of the Week', 'Most Watched' and 'Highest Rated', view ratings and search through the LOVEFiLM instant offering by title, actor and genre. LOVEFiLM will offer any PS3 users who are not already LOVEFiLM subscribers, exclusive incentives to join the service, including free trials."

"LOVEFiLM has a proven track record of success and innovation in the film distribution field and is a very welcome addition to the PlayStation family that I'm confident PlayStation gamers will embrace enthusiastically."

I've been signed up with Lovefilm for a while and found out I'll never rent a movie so I switched over to the game rental service, a whole lot better.
