Yes, the game has finally gone gold - it's now being readied for shipping and all that! And of course, Sony wants you to be part of the LBP family as soon as you can. To sweeten the pot, they're throwing in some launch freebies too via the PlayStation Network. Check them out!
As long as you have copy of the game come launch week, you'll be able to bag a Limited Edition Sackboy Spacesuit and an "I was there Week One" t-shirt! Again, both of these newly announced freebies we'll only be available during the first week of LBP, so you better act quick. Place a pre-order to guarantee yourself a copy of the game if you have too.
The earlier you get the game, the more freebies. That and you get an early start on Trophy hunting!

*Update* The release date for Europe how now also been confirmed via press release - now we got all our bases covered. Here's the full launch schedule for LittleBigPlanet:
- October 21: North America, Latin America
- October 22: Europe, Australia, New Zealand

- October 30: Japan

...pre-orders are already available. Different retailers have different freebies too (like Nariko or Kratos) depending on where you live, so you might want to check your local store first.

It went gold before the supposed beta started. I knew the beta was BS. Maybe it'll turn into a DEMO. Probably not.
I haven't paid much attention to LBP as everyone has, but is the game also going to be available through the PSN or Retail only?
Actually from what I heard the point of the beta is not to beta test but to make levels so theirs something to download when the game launches
Retail only. It's on a Bluray disc is that gives you any insight as to the size of the game :)
what about the LBP Bundle that was discovered on a french retailers site ? No confirmation for this ?
