Eh? Can't connect to the LittleBigPlanet servers, you say? Well no wonder! Just as some of you guys have already guessed, turns out the servers have been shut down indeed. Kotaku just got word from Media Molecule that they had to pull the plug some eight hours after they first fired up the servers in order to avoid "glitching issues."

"Glitching issues" here encompass a whole slew of reports from many a user, saying that some problems online were starting to affect their offline play. Sounds messy, yes? No specifics were given just yet, but you can rest easy because MM is on the case.

With the servers down, what say we just take it easy for now, maybe grab a cat nap or two? Either that or churn more stuff on Create mode, yes? Still no sign of a QJ-themed stage? For shame!

*Update* Ok! Cat nap's over! We hear Media Molecule's finally squashed them bugs. It's back to content sharing in LittleBigPlanet: Shacknews has confirmed that as of 12:45 PM CDT (that'd be about twenty minutes ago, as of writing), the LBP servers are back online.

I had a many a "glitch"

I noticed glitches not in game play but just waiting for the game to load it froze my ps3 numerous times. Although I have noticed the PS3 online compared to the 360's is no match. PS3 needs to just charge and give us quality online play. By the way I owned a 360 so I do know what I'm talking about and my connection is really good 8mbps.

LittleBigSuckmyballs. The servers are down AGAIN. They were up for a grand total of 5 minutes (for me at least) before they went back down. Meh.

....

No offense man but you don't know what you're talking about...PSN and Live provide the service, they dont control the quality of each game that plays online the developers do. If you read this article is say Media Molecule are working of the glitches, not Sony.
