Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust gets a publisher, release in April |
Listed in: PS3, Xbox 360 Tags: Activision, Blizzard, Codemasters, Larry Laffer
Ó
Larry Laffer, better known as Leisure Suit Larry, is now a movie mogul. But that doesn't mean the sleazy sexcapades are over. Enter Larry Lovage, Laffer's nephew who is starring in his very own game, Box Office Bust.
The game was part of the unlucky group that Activision dropped when they merged with Blizzard. Codemasters recently agreed to publish the game, which features the voice talents of Carmen Electra and Shannon Elizabeth. The game will be released this April for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
Now kids, this is an M-rated game. You'll probably need to ask the older folk why. Be prepared for a lecture on the birds, the bees, and sexual harassment.

Sounds a bit cr@p to me guys.
The trailer ripping off gears of war's "mad world" teaser was pretty damn funny though.
Maybe the euro version will feature nudity (like Leasure Suit Larry Magna Cum Laude).

the best game so far (imo), LSL7 only had nudity as easter eggs.
it's the humor that ensured LSL will always have a place on my shelf.

You're right though rollypoly you did have to do certain things in 7 to get to the nudity. But this new one is to feature no nudity period.
You're probably right though it was always more about the adult comedy in these games. I guess you don't need nudity for that, I just worry we're turning what has been an adult franchise over to the prudes. This is not a game for kids but that's kind of what's good about it, like Grand Theft Auto. Which doesn't feature nudity really either, well unless you count that dodgey scene in L+D where you come face to face with that naked guy.

Probably the same idiot parents who think that don't want to supervise their kids, because who wants to be 4ssed working out if a game is appropriate for their kid to play.

He's pretty close to the mark there on what is LSL MCL.
I agree with him the mini games are pretty well frustrating as hell. I wondered if they were trying to make a game which is completely focused on fun to play at a frat party or a buck's night. Because there's no way you could possibly get engrossed in the story line, because there is none!! There certainly isn't really any puzzles to solve.

Or Bob as he likes to call it.
Again no consultation with the man whatsoever.
