LittleBigPlanet will soon be LittleBig3DPlanet. You can bet on that as SCEE CEO Ray Maguire himself revealed earlier that they have been in fact testing games like LBP to see how compatible it would be with 3D.
Their conclusion thus far seems very promising. At the Edinburgh Interactive Festival, he said hat the fixed-angle camera did lend well to 3D, resulting to a more intuitive and fun gameplay. Another noted benefit is that becauese of the 3D effect, your depth-based mistakes are effectively diminished.
It's also been mentioned that Gran Turismo 5 was also tested for 3D and it did look more compelling than a regular 2D racer.
We're still waiting for Gran Turismo 5 to come out so we'll hold off on that excitement for a 3Dfied version. But as for LBP in 3D, now that's something we can really picture.
