Grand Theft Auto IV fans rejoice - the latest trailer that we've all been waiting for has now just arrived, viewable on both the Grand Theft Auto 4 Yahoo Games website, as well as on the game's official website itself. We get you the skinny on what's to expect with this 1:06 minute gem.
For a trailer that lasts for only a minute and six seconds, it packs a lot of punch. We see a lot more of Niko's personality and what drives him - as well as some awesome gameplay footage that totally blew yours truly away. The city looks real and lifelike and delivers on the promise of having the feel of an actual sprawling metropolis. The character animations and voice acting - superb. The explosions, even more so - watch for the bit where a police car actually flips, as well as the bit where our heavily-accented hero shoots up a sportscar. Totally awesome.

This does look like a pretty good step above previous GTA games! Lots more detail and realistic animation and environment! I can't wait to play it!

wow the game will still probably be fun but damn those gfx are horrible for a "next" gen game. the envirnment is fine but damn how can the visuals be so bad the textures are low res textures the people look like clay damn this could have been so much better visually. i will still but though
I was reading and looked at the specific console info and it said PS Network not compatible but it is xbox live compatable so i assume it won't at all be online multiplayer but the xbox live compatable is for DLC

i think its more of the fact that they havent released any plans for multiplayer because im pretty sure they said they would include multi player.

It mostly looked like cutscenes and cinematics. Textures look weak. There was barely any, if any gameplay. Can't judge a game til it's out... but this trailer looks MUCH worse compared to the first.
are you kidding me, did you see when they were flashing shots from in front of him walking? you could see a guy in a bubble jacket in the background (so NY btw). well im pretty sure that was actual footage and those were game footage and it looked sick.
the new gta doesn't look *****-it looks sick---but i admit the textures dont live up to the next gen standards...but GTA can always get away wiv dat saying dat their game is a sort of cartoon style---gfx cant compare wiv da getaway 3 tho...b wayting for this and the new getaway...

Don't get me wrong, it still looks amazing for a GTA game, but is there any particular reason it looks worse than the last trailer? I'll gladly drop the extra $20 on the SE because I know this game will be amazing, but aren't graphics supposed to get better over time?

wow I expected so much more out of this game, like others have said the environment looks nice but the way the characters moved and talked and looked didn't look any better if not the same as Saints Row...
I was thinking they were going to use real people stickied with those little balls for more realistic movement. the movement was so robotic and fake and cheesy and GTA vice city like...with vercetti, a crazy white man running with a stick up his ass chasing the looney toons.

I wasnt really blown away by the trailer. When i watched the first one, i just wanted to scream in excitement, it was so epic, but so tantalising at the same time. I wanted that to happen with the second trailer, and i just didnt get it. Sure, it had some interesting bits, but i wasnt left jaw dropping. The actual parts in the clip were good, it just wasnt put together that well imo. and despite knowing that the game is massive and has to compensate with graphics, i was a bit reminded of Spiderman 3 with the faces.

I downloaded and watched the 2nd video from the american ps3 shop last night. I thought it looked ok, quite clean looking, but...
Is there something up with the framerate? Not juddery or anything like that but just seemed a bit wierd. Maybe it was running at 30fps or sommat.
This was from a UK PAL machine watching NTSC footage. Could be the video encoding I suppose.

The framerate is a little stuttery at present, but it should improve with a few months of optimisations.
there will be a multiplayer, on both consoles, but it maybe is just like lcs and vcs multiplayer.

The reason the graphics probably arnt as 'prety' as other PS3 games, is because GTA is a MASSIVE game.

the framerate sucked on the 360 as well...much like the blacksite demo. 360 couldn't barely handle it

Try watching a TRUE hd version of it, like go to a friends with a 360 and watch it on his TV....or hope Sony gets on the ball with PSN so you can download and watch it on your PS3....
