I have both consoles (too much of a gamer to be a fanboy)with the ps3 being my preferred console and the 360 for its good exclusives and no amount of delay is going to change that fact. personally I CBA with companies who engage in these practices. if the game was not even planned for release on the opposing console thats fine I have no problem with that.
hence why I have not bothered to pick up the lost & damned for gta especially when they tried to release it on the ps3 for full price what a joke
The only way to stop companies from engaging in this stupidness is to let them know that there are consequences for doing it. if they knew that no ps3 owners would by their game if it was a timed exclusive they wouldn't even bother or the other company would have to pay a ridiculously high price to offset the losses like what ms did.

its not all money its also clout if the company is normally multiplatform and do a timed exclusive/exclusive then people may loose interest or just boycott it... example like me I had all the gta's from the first 2d one but after the 360 fiasco I was given enough time to realise how repetitive and hype filled it is. I currently have no interest in the series anymore unless they do san andreas 2. I couldve bought it for the 360 but i already owned it on the ps so I wasn't going to buy another copy. If i was a gta fanboy i probably would have.
this stuff is like selling someone an old hotdog sausage thats been in the warming oven for years (think apu in the simpsons) but the only difference is that ps owners know that they are buying a stale hotdog and are even willing to pay full price for it
either way it is a gamble for the games company but as it stands the 360ers and microsoft are the best hypers/marketers this generation see this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gz3NA6xjlzc&feature=related

Now its to late, the summer has gone, and much better games are coming than this...So square Enix learn to be respectful and loyal to your longtime fans! Or else you have bought an IP without fans.... Sorry no money for you!
