Can't get enough of Factor 5's Lair? Can't say we blame you, as we're also waiting for it to hit the shelves in May.
Just like the Dragon Riders in Eragon, players would be able to ride a dragon and fight with it via the SIXAXIS controller. According to Wikipedia, the hero of Lair is a knight named Rohn. Together with a secret society called The Burners, he fights in the war with the Mokai against the Asylians. Throw in all that with global warming via increased volcanic activity and this game is bound to be hot hot hot.
We don't know how much you guys trust the Wiki, but that info would have to do for now. In the meantime, you can check out these new screenshots just oozing in mouthwatering high-res.

Big deal! I'm waiting for Cooking Mama to hit the shelves for the Wii.. It will have better graphics and better gameplay.. PS3 sucks! Lol! Oh you Wii fans make me laugh...

Is it me or are the graphics in Lair rivaling Epic's Gears of War?
I was thinking the exact same thing when I seen the dragon flying over the ocean. Can't wait for this game to come out. Hopefully it will make all developers realize the PS3 potential and get their heads out of their asses and tap into it.
You can't really compare lair to gears as they are both different types of games but i agree, the graphics in these shots are as good as gears if not better.
What an amazing game! The graphics are pure genius, and I like the way the water looks so real! Bloody amazing. Lol have any PS3 owners noticed that the xbox fanboys never comment on this game as they know its going to be a killer game! Also xbox fanboys who say ''Oh no thats all CGI'' its not lol! Check the IGN videos, the graphics in-game are exactly the same as the graphics on these pictures.
Again I will say like I have done every time I see any SCREENSHOTS of this game, IT LOOKS LIKE ERAGON and its average. And LOL comparing a few SCREENSHOTS (NOT INGAME PLAY) with GEARS OF WAR!!!! KEEP DREAMING...........
Technically i'm sure they are very similar, but they have very different art design. From what i've seen the game looks to be like alot of flying around, and those landscapes look VERY barren, even thought the mountains are rendered nicely, they have nothing on them...where are the forrests ? The water is top notch, everything else as said is nothing too special...

Ok maybe this game doesn't look as good as mass effect or gears but it still looks great and should be an awesome game. You fanboys are just grasping, desperate to give sony a hard time and justify your console choice. Sure the 360 is a great console too but if it's so incredibly superior why are you here on this site *****ing about some other game on a console you hate and will probably never buy. I know i will be enjoying all of the ps3s great titles and the 360s as well. But you M$ fanboys can just keep sucking off gates until you realise what your missing out on.
I don't really think you understand the differences in scale between Mass Effect or Gears vs. lair(environment and gameplay not story or plot). I kinda wish that they'd have a screen with 500+ foot soldiers.

" Probably for the same reason a regular set of PS3 fanboys are always on the 360 forum, desperate to give MS a hard time to justify their console of choice. Fanboys are ALL the same. Anyway, regarding Lair, it just doesn't do it for me. Besides the excellent water, the rest looks good but nothing special. Given Factor 5's track record for games, I'm concerned Lair doesn't have the gameplay to match the graphics. Hopefully my concerns will be proven wrong soon.
The model detail in LAIR looks alot better then Mass Effect. Look at the Gun Barrel in Mass Effect, its not even a smooth cylinder, its a hexagon. http://uk.media.xbox360.ign.com/media/718/718963/img_4286863.html The Character Models are not even as detailed as GoW. http://uk.media.xbox360.ign.com/media/718/718963/img_3956805.html GoW is a graphically better game then Mass Effect. Mass Effect may have better model detail in LAIR, but LAIR destroys Mass Effect in environment detail and draw distance. LAIR has the most amazing water I have seen in a game, its like watching a movie with special effects like the perfect storm.

I never said that the graphic were superior to Gears of War i mean i own it for christ sakes.I just said that the rival them.As for mass effect i argress it looks great, but it is easier to write codes for the 360 than it is for the ps3.So i give Factor 5 a congrats when i see that they are able to pull off this programing for the ps3. Hmm we were all told that Motorstorm was using the full potential of the PS3 and it ended up going from 64fps to 32fps so who exactly believes anything they say when they try and hype up the cell.
Looks NOTHING compared to MASS EFFECT, in fact LOST PLANET looks better than this as well.
I played this game at CES this year and if you think the water looks good in this pictures wait until you play it on a 1080p HDTV... It is simply amazing. While evryone stood there and played the game I managed to get the dragon right over the water and sat there and contemplated the graphics that's it I couldn't move. I was in shock :o)

the game does have pretty graphics. And that water...just wow. As for the gameplay, I was skeptical about the air to ground combat until these pictures showed us some of the bosses! freakin yeah! and about the motorstorm dealio, it's a pity that they couldn't achieve what Sony were aiming for. But granted, it still looks and plays amazing and anybody who wants to ***** about that hasn't played the game--unless watching user movies online counts...
The graphics in Mass Effect are average. The trailers were unimpressive. The dragons in LAIR are much more detailed then what I have seen from Mass Effect and played from Lost Planet.
wii can never have graphics like ps3/360.wii is a gamecube with a wiimote.

I'm being just being highly critical of the machine and trust nothing Sony says, especially after they tried to pass of CGI as realtime gameplay (old news I know, but it shows their nature as a company). So I come here hoping something will show it's worth and actually crush a 360 title, shouldn't be hard with a machine that is twice as powerful and supposedly "the most powerful console on earth"...but unfortunately everything is either under par or just as good...seems I keep waiting, i'm not one to waste my money...

I'd say the character detail on that dude is VERY close to a locust....now, look at the Knight in the lair shots, looks like a guy from ninety nine nights....not a good thing...and far from even the models in mass effect. The dragon looks decent, but seems that's all they spent their time on...

What makes you say that? Considering that the bridge level alone takes up a supposed 4 gigs (ign interview) one can pretty much rule out this being a downloadable game. Besides the game is nearing completion, and will be out in few more months.
Wow I totally disagree. The knight looks very smooth and well shaded, and well about as good as a night can look. I'm not biased towards any sytem at all but as far as looking more realistic the knight definetly wins IMO. Mass Effect looks just like every other 360 game and well fake looking. Good but plastic looking. Its also funny you chose that shot because its the only one that looks halfway decent.
I'm sorry but give credit were credit is due!! this does look as good as gears and this is free roaming game, so damn nice job sony, i'm glad i have both of the systems. Stop hating guys

this game is going to be great!! a killer game that's for sure! I laugh on sites like GameSpot that totally overlooked this game as one to watch for this year, a bunch of MS fans that's all. Awesome gfx, many characters on screen, Tilt used. That boss battles remind me some colossus from SotC. Massive battles on the ground, massive aerial battles, Giant Bosses, cinematic action, but what is most important this is not a shooter :D I'm really looking forward this one. It is impressive how soon SONY first party titles are getting a lot from the PS3.

I know when i seen the early work on the title i wasn't that impressed but now that it's nearing completion it's shaping up to look Killer.Xbox 360 killer app right now is Gears of War and they were working on that title for about 4 years because it was concept art for the freaking unreal engine 3.And if you want to talk about graphics Crytek's Cryengine 2 runs circles around UE3 God i cant wait to get my ubuntu Linux ps3......
You can't even fight or do much anything when off the dragon. It's not a true GTA style free roaming game, more like ace combat with dragons. It's easy to make decent graphics when in the air and not much is nearby. The ground and characters, etc. could have very litttle detail and still look good.

Your one to talk PS3Rider, this last post rivals vietones for being the most retarded on QJ. I have seen the videos on IGN, with there piss pour framerate, i have seen all the screens with there washed out colors. This game doesnt even come close to GOW graphicly. But what every you fantards need to tell yourself is fine with me.
Gears Of War is Weak......... Laaaast Week!
It's the people who don't know anything about programming that say stuff regarding how programmers are lazy and can't tap the Cell's power. From what I hear programming is hard. It costs a lot of money. They'll tap the full potential of all the systems eventually, but I think as of now, they're doing alright. Much better than these complainers could ever do.

Yes it is really hard to have a far draw distance when you're in the air with nothing nearby. cough Seriously, what are you used to? Flying toward a foggy mist until something comes close? This game has low detail with anything on the ground and laggy framerate. What good are some pretty screenshots when the game doesn't run smoothly? I can't wait for this game to come out so I can point out how much of a dissapointment it will be to PS3 owners who have bought the hype and waited a year for this.
