For everyone who marked August 14 on their calendars, here's a little bad news: Lair's release date has been moved to September 4. SCEA Associate Producer Ryan Hamlyn made the announcement on the official PlayStation blog just a few moments ago.
Some will remember that Lair was said to be in manufacturing stage and ready for shipment, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Further Quality Assurance sessions have led devs to the discovery of some minor offline mode issues that are yet to be addressed.
To make up for the delay, the game will offer enhanced community features such as leaderboards and medal systems that will be integrated into single player. Well, our fingers are crossed hoping that Lair will be in full glory when September 4 comes.

an August release was really the ideal time for them... a lot of people are getting this just because of that... to tie them up until the big titles come out by September/October (Heavenly Sword, GTAIV, Assassins Creed, Rachet and Clank, Drakes Fortune, SOCOM, Warhawk)...
now Lair will get released close to those games (which are actually more anticipated and can be said as better games than Lair)...
they just pumped up the competition significantly...

in August Lair has the market all to itself compaired to September... GTAIV alone will clean the floor with Lair and then you add the likes of Heavenly Sword, Assassins, and Drake and even Warhawk who have been getting all the good news and compliments lately from everyone in the industry (from gamers to analysts, to beta players, to gaming sites, developers.. everyone) plus the proven franchise of Rachet and Clank while Lair is having a hard time pleasing reviewers...
everybody here knows that people are looking for games to tie them up while waiting for the big boys and Lair was that game..
if you can't see how huge a mistake it is for Factor 5 to postpone this game till September then you are just plain stupid.
And before you shout XBot at me... I'm one of the foremost supporters of the PS3 on this sight... but I ain't blind to the facts.

get a 360 if you want games, they have many many MANY more titles than ps3.
i own both, and there have only been two games ive bought for my ps3 while ive bought countless games for my 360. my gamerscore is 37k if that gives you an indication, since every game is worth a MAX of 1000 points (and i dont have all achievements in every game, not even a quarter of them).
Nothing on the 360 sounds as good as the PS3 exclusive line up to me. It is still worth the wait. I would rather wait than buy a 360 and have it mess up on me and then have to wait to get it sent back. That would be more annoying than waiting a couple weeks more for Lair.

That's pretty sad. You're claiming you have at LEAST 148 games for your 360. That's not even a hobby at that point. At $60 each, that's about $8880 spent on games alone. Some games may have been less, but I'm not factoring in tax, so it should be about right.
