Here's Konami's other newly-announced downloadable title: Zombie Apocalypse. This arcade shooter has players do what they do best in such undead-infested situations: shoot the hell out of zombies.

The objective in Zombie Apocalypse is to stay alive for 55 in-game days across 7 environments. There are 11 different weapons to choose from, including standard anti-zombie fare such as flamethrowers and rifles as well as more unconventional ones like C4-filled teddy bears.

Just like the new Vandal Hearts game, Zombie Apocalypse will be heading to XBLA and PSN this year, with Q2 2009 slated as the target release date for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. A price hasn't been set yet though.

Kinda Curious what kind of "arcade" shooter this will be. Arcade FPS, arcade side scroller? Any info?

just like super stardust and more revelant just like burn zombie burn already out on psn. Zombie Apocalypse has 4 characters in it and sort of reminds me of the left4dead setting. it looks like its shaping up kinda decent but burn zombie burn is already out.

Doesn't look like much fun and I'm quite happy with Burn Zombie Burn which is a bit odd as I thought I was sick to death of zombies.
