Konami responds to MGS4 Trophy requests |

It's been more than a year since Metal Gear Solid 4 launched but it still remains without Trophy support despite repeated requests from fans. Konami says that they're listening, but they just don't have anything concrete to announce yet.
In the latest Kojima Productions podcast, Sean Eyestone repeatedly assured fans of the game that their requests have reached Konami's collective ears:
I just wanna tell everybody out there right now that your voices are being heard and that weÂ’re not ignoring you. We hear everything that you are saying. ItÂ’s just that we canÂ’t say anything just yet.
But as soon as we have something to say, we will announce it. So, if we can just ask everyone to just be patient, we will give you an answer. But right now we canÂ’t say anything. So we just ask for everyoneÂ’s understanding with that and just ask for everybody to remain patient and weÂ’ll let you know.

Really, why would this game, of all PS3 games, be released without Trophies?
It's over-ridiculous that it doesn't have trophies already

for some people it's important.. gives you more reasons to play the game over + over again till you get that platinum trophy.. also gives you the satisfaction, aside from the game being satisfactory already.. so im happy for this too.. hope it'll be soon..

Trophies/Achievements add to a game. For some people they are just fun extra things to do.
If YOU dont like them... fine! but I get the feeling the people that moan are the people that try but dont succeed. in which case why should the people that enjoy them go without because you're a prick
The only reason this game released without trophies is because the game itself came out around the time trophies were actually added to the PS3's OS. Dunno why it's taking them over a year to patch it, but I'd give it another go for a trophy run, even though I'm not a trophy whore.

i dont think so.. GTA4 was released months earlier than MGS4.. but GTA4 has trophies..
Damn, that game freakin' sucks, why did anyone ever say that was good? I played the demo of it today and omg, its horrible. The graphics aren't good, and it just overall sucks. Xbots, you can have it, its crap anyway.

LMFAO, lets see now, I play Silent Hill, Resident Evil, GTA, Saints Row, Condemned, Alone in the Dark, True Crime, Hitman, Cold Fear, The Getaway, Siren, and many others, all of which have more blood then this pile of crap. Condemned 2 has not only blood but lots of goreyness. This game should have been rated T for its lack of blood. But thats not even the reason I don't like it, it just simply sucks. I couldn't stand playing it long enough to know for sure but from the looks of it, its just another crappy war game but with bad graphics.
I asked because I have no PS3...I think is a good Idea so next time read the msg than reply "because (quoting you) you're a prick"

True, but the trophies were just transplanted over from the xbox achievements so it was a snap because they already existed. These trophies would be all new. Guaranteed to be some form of crotch grabbing trophy in the game.
I beat it once, and I've been waiting to play with trophies again.

A demo sometimes doesn't really deliver the experience needed to "like" a certain game. I love MGS4. Awesome game play , good story , crisp and clean cinematic like all MGS and then some. It's gotten awards, GOTY and high reviews,( of course this means more if you played it before all the attention it got). It's like Infamous , the demo was weak ( to me ) but that didn't stop me from me buying the game because I took a risk and it turned out to be GREAT! Which means a demo sometimes screws your perception on what "fun" is, just because you only got to play it for so long , or its not crispy or sexy enough or the demo didn't deliver that WOW factor. Some people get hooked on the demo and have to buy the retail game right away. All I'm saying is that 3+ million gamers who've tried it and (liked it) can't be wrong. All about opinion though.
FelisCatusLover let me see here. Your main reason for not liking MGS4 is that there was little to no blood? Also it looks like you already hated the game even befor you started to play it. I feel the game works quite well. As for the Trophy, I could care less. I played the game with out them, I also replayed the game with out them. I do not see how having Trophy realy adds to the replayabity. I hope that this will not become like the 360, where there are gamers who will get a game just to add to there gamer score just so they can brag about how big there score is.
No, as I clearly said, that was NOT the main reason. The real main reason I dont like it is because its just like all the other war games, but even a bit worse with the bad graphics. I would have liked to see a lot of melee weapons, that would have added some fun but even then, its got that war game feeling, even if its not actually a war game. As for trophies, I don't care much about them, there nice but it wont impact my decision to buy this game, that demo did enough of that.
Actually I like most of the games others don't. For example, I find Saints Row 2 to be 10000000% better then GTA IV, most other people don't because they're RockStar fanboys or the like. This game is yet another war game (or similar), so people automatically fall in love with it. I don't.

MGS4 is a great game....it's not like any other war game....In what war game do you have to avoid being caught?? Can this even be called a war game? True...the basis of the story is about war and how it's become a global market....but it's not really a war game....you're not a soldier running around killing people for your country...you're sneaking around...avoiding getting spotted....and killing the cause of the problem...
In a war game....you kill anything that moves.....in MGS4...you AVOID anything that moves....big difference there...
As for Saint's Row 2....can't really argue with you on it because I haven't played it...
Also MGS, as well as a few other games, allows you to sneak, or run through guns blazing, where as the War Games, people know where you are before you even step foot into a room.
Saints Row 2 is pretty decent and reminds me like San Andreas. The customization, being able to skydive, having co-op story play and all those shops scattered around the city is way better than GTA4 for hardly having anything but about 3 shops.
Also, I followed the related articles on this page for a "Playable Raiden". In my opinion, it'd just be a skin pack allowing us to not only have our heads as them with Facecamo, but the rest of their body too. Thats if we're getting it, which I doubt.

ppl still play this game i bet it it was grate but i sold it after a few weeks for when i bet it.let it go and buy some other grate games.
For some more songs to be released on the online downloads feature, although the last one has been given. It would be nice to be able to listen to your own songs on the ipod as well.
I'm not so fussed about the trophies, personally.
It is a great game. I played it before I played the other Metal Gear Solids. I've played them all now. I'm playing this game for the 3rd time now, and it's interesting to understand the references to the other games more.

Hey LBP is great and I do prefer it to Metal Gear Solid 4. Despite the fact Snake is my favorite game character I find the lengthy cutscenes in MGS games dull and tedious though I really like the actual gameplay. I'm not keen on games that try so hard to be movies they may as well have just cut all the actual playable stuff out and released it as a film.
Saints Row 2 was just terrible. Easily among the worst games I've played in the last few years.
It does have it's downs but its far better then GTA IV.

I wonder tho if they will give u the platinum trophy for getting all the animal ranks in mgs4 or if it will be for something completely different also i wonder if u will be able to get trophies for playing mgo.Only time will tell either way this is great news love this game i beat it 8 times lol plus its the only game i really play online
doesn't MGS4 have medals that can just be pulled to trophies? But I am definently gonna replay this game a couple more times once this hits, its what i have been waiting for yay!
Lol, because trophies are RIP OFF from Microsoft's Xbox archivements.
Trophies wasnt originaly in PS3, but than Sony realised that Archivements is additional fun-factor and ripped archivements from Xbox and called em Trophies.
And when MGS 4 was realesed, Throphies not even appeared or just appered so Konami havent had time to rewrite code to add support for new feature of PS3 that just appeared.
But really IDK about this thing, i more care about this!

There are some leaked arts that clues that game main Character IS GRAY FOX HIMSELF!
Also another clues gives idea that its something like Remake of original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake from MSX but with alternative point of view by GRAY FOX - this remind me Half Life Blue shif by valve + same black mesa but now we play Barny and not Freeman, so i really believe this one is metal gear one and metal gear two.
It also rumored as MGS 5 by some peoples!
There are also some arts with ! and ? that have hidden logo of Xbox 360 and gray background looks like xbox 360, so i think PS3 will never get this game ((( Which is big loose for PS3 owneres, who wanted to play as Grey fox since Metal Gear Solid days on PS one ((
