Konami knows MGS 4 is a Sony title, but what about MGS 5? |

Solid Snake has always been solid with Sony. But will this be sustained for the future installments of the Metal Gear Solid franchise if ever?Yahoo Japan reported on the highlights of the recently concluded Tokyo Game Show 2008, but amidst all the wrap-up, what stood out was the bit on Konami's recognition that there is a huge demand for Metal Gear Solid to be on the Xbox 360.
However, the report furthers, though there is this recognition of such a demand, Konami also factors in the conscious knowledge that Metal Gear Solid 4 is, in fact, a Sony game at the moment (emphasis ours).
If you'll remember, Kojima showed some hints of dismay at all the fussy requests for MGS 4 to be ported to Microsoft's next-gen back in August. He was quoted as saying then that:
... half the questions are like 'Will MGS4 be coming out on 360 or other formats?', and in the near future I hope they'll ask me about Metal Gear, about us, about our future projects, and will stop caring about the hardware.
Still, it begs the question, though, of what happens in the future, say, like for MGS 5. To Xbox 360 fans out there, don't get your hopes up on this one. It's a very open-ended speculation, and there's not much we can do except wait for later developments on the matter.

MGS5 might come to 360. I love my PS3 and had a blast with MGS4, and have been a fan of both ever since 1998 (thats when I got my PSone) but I won't deny the fact that money talks, and if M$ paid Konami or came and talked to them then you could see the next Metal Gear game on more than just the PS3.
I myself don't see it happening, but it's still possible.

and also one that does not give a crap if I have a hi end computer nor game system.
For sure if they want more money off the game, but i guess at least 50% PS3-fanboy will stop buying it

The game is ps3 exclusive. games are becoming more and more demanding and as we have seen as of late, devs are having problems fitting games onto the 360 disk. i would hate for the new MGS to be downsized because kojima couldnt fit it onto a DVD. he clearly took liberties with his creation in using so much of the disk space. konami can make a MGS for 360 but that doesnt mean kojima would support the bastardization of his art.
but I dont think your 360s can handle MGS4. It was built around the PS3's strengths.
i call foul on this mgs4 360 sentiment.
while this is just my opinion, it's not fair to ps3 owners that 360 owners (expect) a mgs4 port.
they already get most high profile titles at least a full year earlier then we do.
oblivion,biosho ck,eternal sonata,, ... hell ninja gaiden even. while it was an xbox title, sony fans where left in the dark for a few years with that one..
it's no secret that the 360,s library is more robust, and yet what few glimmers of light we do have are all expected to fall from the orange tree and land right benith your apple trees.
but if we ps3 owners wanted to see gears of war or halo on our ps3,s you would flame us, beliittle us and laugh us out of the message boards!
so i guess what im saying is if a 360 owner wants to play mgs4 then tough cookies buddy,buy a ps3 or stfu.......

If MGS4 isn't possible on our 360's, which is proven with the size of the game filling a Blu-Ray, then I highly doubt Kojima OR Konami would want the series taking a technological step backwards and going to 360.
Of course, they might make something that could run well on both systems, without sacrificing quality (GTA4, COD4).
Although I'd really just like a basic 'remake-collection', MGS1 - 3 with spiffy graphics maybe, on PS3 and 360.
I'm finding it hard to look after my old PS2 discs nowadays.

GTA 4 was small.. San Andreas was huge. GTA4 lacked qaunity...thanks to Xbox, and you really think you'll get exclusive DLC? no way, it WAS SONY......now you guys want MGS??? get the ***** outta here.
COD 4 is small....online play kept the qaulity with quanity..

its required to destroy the game completely by making it shorter and crappier, and maybe even change the storyline to port it over to the xbox...

even though your post was hard to read. i have to lol at what you said about DLC. i know a bunch of tards out there bought the 360 version of gtaIV instead of the ps3 version because HURR DURR ITS GUNNA HAVE DLC.

Since Kojima probably won't be involved with MGS5 (he said something about maybe coming back to the series in 10 yeaars), Konami wouldn't be stepping on any toes bringing it to Xbox I think. I know he wasn't pleased with the bad Xbox port of MGS2, but if it can be done properly, and without Kojima (who may or may not have something against Xbox, but most likely it's just that he doesn't want to see anything but perfection for his work, and MGS4 is suited after PS3) then I can see it more likely to happen.
Sony have displayed a lack of interest to "buy" many exclusives this time, so if Microsoft take the initiative, then quite possibly so.
