Job Listing Mentions New Metal Gear 'Development' - Image 1

It would be downright tragic if the last entry to the Metal Gear franchise was Metal Gear Solid Touch. Thankfully enough, Konami's posted a new job listing indicating that there's a new game in line for the series.

They're looking for staff with experience developing games for consoles and cell phones, with this line stuck somewhere in there, with arrows literally pointing at a new Metal Gear game:

>>> Staff wanted for a new development in the Metal Gear series!!<<<

Not that it's any surprise that they're working on a new MGS game. Can't let a cash cow like that go mooing away. Hideo Kojima himself expressed interest in a new game (whether he'll keep his promise of not working on it personally is another matter).

As much as I enjoy the Metal Gear games, next time can we have more game and less talking please.

» The same thing

happens with every new Metal Gear: Kojima says, "That's it from me, I'm out". We say, "come on Koj, if you love us you'll make another, just this one *wink wink* time". And he gives in, and makes another, because he's addicted to Metal Gear.

The same thing happened with MGS2, 3 and 4.

» What?

That doesn't point to a new Metal Gear game... it directly tells you there WILL be a new Metal Gear game.

What I'm wondering is, where's the MPO sequel Ryan Payton confirmed?

I wonder if Snake will be the main character.. Or maybe Raiden or even Meryl.

Not suprising, considering that I read, on the Snakesoup.org, that Konami signed Metal Gear up for 20 more sequels.

That's like the whole basis of MGS.

Enter Konami's trademark for "Metal Gear Solid Existence" last September.

Too bad the job posting indicates just Metal Gear, and not the full Metal Gear *Solid*, as indicated by the trademark. Hmmm. Could be a long shot though... But still. We haven't had updates on the trademark, and I'm wondering if this job posting could be it...
