Missing more of that 16-bit classic goodness? No need to worry cos Konami is here to the rescue, armed with the revival of Rocket Knight for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Tomm Hulett, Konami producer, divulged in an interview with 1Up that they are indeed resurrecting the adventures of the rocket-flying hero. "The idea is that there haven't been any games these past 15 years simply because Sparkster hasn't had any adventures."

That's no longer the case, though. Sparkster has found that his former pig foes are back to wreak more havoc, stronger and more dangerous as they have joined forces with the opposums in a war versus the wolves.

Rocket Knight will be a digital download available to fans by 2010.

That's kinda cool. I wasn't a huge fan of those games but they were fun to put on now and then. I'll probably buy this.

Keep bringing 'em!

I'm happy to see all these old games coming back in one form or another.

I like this trend

I like to see the good old days being brought back to life. Just as long as they do it right. Here's some more I'd like to see get this treatment - Sonic, Ristar, Dizzy, James Pond, Vectorman, Chuck Rock, Contra, Earthworm Jim, Shinobi... Also some more modern games like Xevious, Klonoa, Tombi would be cool.

I would kill for a next-gen tomba or vectorman! Ristar would be cool too

vectorman

Who made Vectorman anyway? Is the company still around? (Googled it- BlueSky developed it) Wiki - BlueSky Software was an American software company situated in California formed in 1988 and had a successful run for 12 years before closing down in March of 2001, when parent company Interplay was in financial trouble. I hope someone good buys the franchise. Wierd how it was such a good franchise yet there were no further games, same as Ristar and some others.

Yeah

I used to love this game on my megadrive. Sparkster wasn't any good compared to Rocket Knight Adventures.

HOLY &%#$!!!!!!!

I loved the hell out of Rocket Knight Adventures and always hoped for a day Sparkster would come back. Here's hoping the developers can get it right!
