Hideo Kojima: the mastermindJust when we thought that we've heard the last of the the whole "Rumble feature rumbles out of SIXAXIS" crisis, the already-healing wounds of hundreds of gamers will be opened once again. Turns out that Hideo Kojima, the big man himself, just opened up about his thoughts on the Rumble feature and MGS 4: Guns of the Patriots' controls.

Guess we're not alone on missing the Rumble feature. In an interview with the "Official PlayStation Magazine," Kojima speaks up with:

The controls in MGS3 got a little complex, so you'll have a little more direct control in MGS4. That said, I miss the rumble and even now I hope it will come back.... We can't say how we'll use the motion-sensing functionality specifically but we'll use it for sure.

No one can tell what would eventually happen. Will they settle for the SIXAXIS' motion-sensing feature or will they go the extra mile and pull out a third-party Rumble feature out of their top hats?

It all depends on how they develop the game's controls anyways. As for the by-gone Rumble feature, I for one miss it as well. And every time I think about it, I can't help but have a flashback of how Psycho Mantis was able to telekinetically "move" my controller in MGS. Aaah, the golden age.

LOL, I never thought of it like that! , psycho mantis moving my controller... lol.

but anyway the motion sensing will surely be great as well, even without our loved rumble. And in some games the motion sensing will be godly ( just imagine katamari with motion sensing... )

I think if any game has a chance of bringing rumble onto the PS3 it's MGS4. If they can't or choose to not want to do it I'd say give up all hope, and so far on my PS3 the lack of rumble hasn't bothered me.

really needs to throw some money at Kanomi to keep this game and games like Silent Hill exclusive to the PS3.

They also should have never let GTA get away like it did since its a guaranteed system seller and exlusivity usually makes games a better quality game.

STUPID STUPID STUPID SONY!

I am pretty sure Kojima got more important things to say than the missing rumble. QJ is *****ing biased.
