Kojima inspired to go back to PS3, thanks to Modern Warfare 2

Thanks to Modern Warfare 2, legendary game creator Hideo Kojima has been inspired to go back to developing for the PlayStation 3. Now isn't that a most-welcomed comeback.

According to the Official PlayStation Magazine, in its Issue 040 for January 2010, Kojima saw Modern Warfare 2, and suffice to say, he was moved by what he saw. "After seeing Modern Warfare 2, I feel like I want to use all the modern specs!"

Turning to the question of why he decided to develop Peace Walker for the PSP anyway, he said, "I wanted some young people to play MGS too. In Japan especially, the most popular hardware with this audience was the PSP."

We'd be more than happy to get you back aboard the consoles wagon, Kojima-san.

You can't really tell who each comment "replies" to (because they are all on the same level), and this "confirm" crap is getting annoying. Why would I be redirected from this page just to post a measly comment? At the very least, it could bring me back here without me having to click another button.

The comment system you had a couple weeks ago was good (with unregistered users, smiley faces, etc.). What on earth made you switch to this?

According to Famitsu magazine, the PSP GO sold roughly 3,000 units in japan these holidays. The DSiLL sold 75,000. Who is he kidding?

That's a very ignorant and closed minded comment. Did you base that little thought while playing your DS? Honestly, from all the games that's being released on the psp, you would think people would stop asking if the psp was alive or not.

The answer is yes, there is people who use the psp. Just like how there's people who still play the DS. It's an amazing world isn't it? Where people can enjoy a different portable device than the other?

eve, 2years , kojima have beter things to do than been inspired by game who is inspired by his game . IW stop dreaming and re recrute ur fired 3d modelers from cod4 and mooders , cod Mw2 is ripp shit game , buged hacked cheated laged .

so pls ompen all Mw2 dev PCS and make a hard format , then restore COD4 files , if u want to see a cod tournament by pro players again , kids will give you money for console version sure , but they will throw it after 4 days and the name of the game with it , have u noticed guys that we have no fan site for Mw2 , or tournament .

Hideo only said he was inspired by the game, most likely the new modern tech that was revealed in the game. To tell you the truth im a cod hardcore fan but mw2 wasn't the best in the series it felt more like halo odst to halo 3 with a killstreak and major glitchs/hacks slapped on to it. Plus online isnt that much fun anymore with campers and some glitchers. Anyway hopefully we get a new mgs game for ps3, i really wish hideo would have kept with his word and make a trophy system aleast for single player. But he should learn next time to fully fuse the game with psn instead of adding his shop and online account(which is a pain to setup). Anyway can't wait to pre-order mgspw since the psp deserves a console quality game, plus its quiet popular in japan(if over half a million ppl psp users get together to play monster hunter, thats pretty intense.) But since he is refereing to japan we might see no infrastructure, we all saw what happened to gran turismo for psp.
