Koei Tecmo has high hopes for Hokuto Musou, planning overseas release |
Ó

For something that's more than 25 years old, the Fist of the North Star franchise still has a lot of pull in Japan. And Koei Tecmo knows it.
Koei Tecmo CEO Kenji Matsubara told Japanese newspaper Nihon Keizai Shimbun that they expect Hokuto Musou to sell more than a million copies in Japan alone. Yes, that "alone" means that an overseas release is planned as well.
After announcing the new PS3 and Xbox 360 title, Koei Tecmo saw its stocks rise 17%. Nihon Sangyou Shimbun attributed the stock rise mainly to the game's announcement, noting that it's indicative of Koei extending its catalog beyond historical-themed games.

Insta-buy for me xD.
With a different coat of paint every year between Musou and Nobunaga. Being one of their programmers has to be the easiest job in the programming industry ever.
To bad that when I buy this game, the cashier would be already dead.
They've been making the same games for 9 years.
Dynasty Warriors 2 is the first one in this style, which is also the first Shin Sangoku Musou in Japan.
They've released DW2, DW3/Xtreme Legends, DW4/Xtreme Legends/Empires, DW5/Xtreme Legends/Empires, DW6, DW Gundam/Gundam Musou, DW Gundam 2, DW GBA, DW DS, DW vol 1, DW vol 2, Warriors Orochi, Warriors Orochi 2, Samurai Warriors/Xtreme Legends, SW State of War, SW2/Xtreme Legends/Empires, SW3.
25 different games that are just Dynasty Warriors titles, that are pretty much the exact same game with little changes between each. Between the Gundam, Dynasty Warriors, and Samurai Warriors titles, it's nothing more than graphics changes.
25 games of the same bull***** every year. Hokuto Musou will be no different. Though atleast with Hokuto no Ken, it'll be more true to the anime because Kenshiro does defeat a couple hundred thousand enemies in it. I just wish someone else would have got Hokuto no Ken besides Koei, maybe the former Clover Studios and make it play like God Hand.
*cashier's head explodes*
