For those of you who are anticipating SNK Playmore's revival of King Of Fighters XII (PS3, Xbox 360), you can consider this update of ours to be good news. The company has made it known that they will be displaying the game at the AOU 2008The AOU is an annual trade show organized by the Japanese Amusement Machines Operators Union, enabling companies such as Sega, Konami, and Namco Bandai get to show off their latest offerings during this event.
King Of Fighters XII will be displayed on Taito's Type X2 machine and will be ported to consoles such as the PS3 and Xbox 360 next year. Currently, there's information the game will be released for the arcade in June or July of 2008.

I wonder in what style they will make this game in, 2D or 3D? I like many of their games and I hope this one is addicting and awesome. Some of their past characters have been kind of corny though. I hope they think well on this one and don't put in stupid gay stuff and also have some decent voice acting this time around. I look forward to seeing how this one turns out.
But not totally sold. We'll see what they do. I'm willing to bet that with SFIIHDR and SFIV in the spotlight, It might be hard for them to get noticed.
