Japanese gaming mag Famitsu has finally revealed the two extra characters added in the home console versions of King of Fighters XII (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3). Sadly, Mai and K' are nowhere to be seen. Instead, we get King of Fighters XI's Elizabeth Blanctorche and Mature, who apparently got better after she was killed by Iori Yagami.

I was really pulling for K' and Mai so I'm a bit disappointed. Now that it's full, the character selection screen doesn't leave any space for the two of them, but there's always DLC. Or they could be unlocked by codes. Anything, SNK, just put 'em in there please!

» wow no mai, k'

Never played much KOF, but I always thought Mai was to KOF what Chun Li was to Street Fighter. VERY surprised that she's not in the game.

Damn this is a little disappointing. I only ever played KOF2002 with my friend, but he always played K' and I always picked Mai. Damn what a coincidence. Neither of us have our best character anymore...

» Nope...

Street Fighter's Chun-Li is what Fatal Fury's Mai Shiranui.

King of Fighters shouldn't be equated to Street Fighter as KOF is an ensemble cast from different SNK fighting games.

There will be over 22 characters for the home version and at least two of them will be hidden. Still room for Mai and K and just because you think there's no room for them on the character selection screen doesn't mean anything at all...

I don't really care since my other favorite is already in (Iori) but I'd be surprised if bouncy Mai didn't find her way into the game.
