Killzone 2 street date broken, now for sale at Target

The official release for Guerrilla Games's highly-anticipated FPS title, Killzone 2, is set at February 27, 2009. Apparently, it's so highly-anticipated that some retailers and gamers found that this game just can't wait. And so the street date breaks. PS3 Center spots that Target actually has them out for sale right now.

So if you can't wait for the official release date like everyone else, you might wanna head on over to you local Target and pick up a copy.

A lot of our QJ readers have also purchased Killzone 2, while the rest of us are waiting for Friday. For those who already have the game, where'd you get yours?

Yea so i got this game already not gonna say where because if they get in trouble they i cant get my games before everyone else. But Killzone 2 is alright it was hyped up too much like Assasins Creed which was very repetative that has you doing the same thing over and over the only thing that changes is the land a little. But it plays kinda slow i ended up selling GoW2 and lost odessy to get it since i had already bought Star Ocean last hope good game by the way.Also the game was short 8 hours but the Graphics were AMAZING i loved it just wish the gameplay was good guess i have to wait for God of War3 damn this happened to me with Resistance 2.

Your mileage WILL vary. I'm sure this is a mistake as Target doesn't get any special release date! Maybe a couple stores broke the street date, but this article makes it sound like every Target has Killzone 2 right now. Also, it's February 27, 2009 not February 7, 2009. Love u QJ.

my cousin just bought Killzone 2 at the Target in Brooklyn, NY and he said the register let him purchase him not like most places where it cant be sold because the register wont let it. He actually likes it more because he now has two games MGS4 and this he sold all his other PS3 games beacause he says theirs no replay value and the trophies are real gay and its just embarrasing. oh well now looking forward to Resident Evil 5, God of War3 , heavy Rain, and hopefully some news about a Kingdom hearts game for the PS3 I NEED MORE EXCLUSIVES on the PS3 thats only ps3 ARGGHHH!!!!! I miss Zelda

Also, I too am desperate for news about Kingdom Hearts. Birth by Sleep seems to have just disappeared, and KH3 is nowhere on the horizon. I can't believe its been almost 4 years since I played KH2.

They expect me to believe it took them this long to make a PSP, DS, and mobile phone game? No doubt they are all being handled by different teams, so they really have no excuse. I think by now I'm not as excited about KH as I was 3 years ago. They've waited WAY too long.

My copy should be arriving today. I got it for £28.49 from play.com (5% RAC discount... a whole £1.50, Woohoo!).

Although, having said that, it'd be just fitting of my current run of luck, that the postman would steal it. :-/

i got the game from a "SONY" store in a Dubai mall for 60 $, and have been playing for 2 weeks........i sant go online 2....network error 4003.....but i think its because the killzone servers arent up yet....

Yeah. I miss Kingdom Hearts. It makes me feel old though. Kingdom Hearts was released like 7 years ago now and it feels like it came out only recently...okay, not really but it doesn't feel like 7 years.

the release to kh2 was epic and birth by sleep isn't gonna make a 09 release (remember how many times they pushed KH2 back?) all i can play is the RE:chain of memories

Just got my copy from Mumbai, India. Had hoped it would've arrived even earlier, but still got it a couple of days early and cheaper than US price. .....Don't believe Link75e's 'anti-hype': Killzone2 is just an AMAZING, OUTSTANDING game! Worth every penny. The enemies are so smart, and some of the ambushes so intense ... this feels like you are in a real firefight! Turn up the Surround Sound and shut down the lights. Killzone2 DELIVERS!!!
