Killzone 2 - Image 1Steel and Titanium. No, those aren't the ingredients for creation of a mega-structure. Rather, that's the title of the first ever batch of sweet downloadable content for Killzone 2. Thanks to GameTrailers TV's Geoff Keighley, we've got the lowdown on what we can expect from this package.

Said the reports, Steel and Titanium will contain two new multiplayer maps: one aboard an ISA tech Cruiser (New Sun, as she is called) featuring a vertical gameplay, and the other involving two Helghast freight trains that can be jumped between. For the latter map, do exercise caution because you can accidentally collide with environmental objects, or worse, fall off and die.

There's another batch coming though, and it's described as being "Retro". Could this imply that they'll be digging into the original Killzone title for some handpicked locations? Not exactly far-off, is it? Actually, Hermen Hulst practically confirmed it himself, as he answered Keighly with a beaming, "You got it!" reply. No other details apart from that, however.

Steel and Titanium will available by the end of April. Just keep checking back here for more updates.

Thanks to tipster narutosaiyan!

retro = kz1.

Trust me on this, I called it. I don't know whether they'll be redesigns of the old (badass) KZ1 maps, or if they'll just simply be maps that are influenced by Vekta.

What would be totally awesome

is if they were partnered with another company or had a deal with one and used maps from other FPS .. or just anything in general. EVEN THOUGH IT'S NINTENDO Think how awesome it would be to fight at the Delfino Stage in Mario Kart haha.. A just-for-laughs stage! More seriously, imagine using some of those later levels in MGS4, they would be pretty cool.

Yeah...

I want a Wake Island map, or a Hyrule Town map. Maybe one involving two Somalian pirate ships that can be jumped between.

the helipad...

Was one of my fav. locations in MGS1. I don't know why. I sat there for 30 minutes once just having epic battles with guards.

PS3 is black?

So is the 360 Elite you idiot.

by xXxZEROxXx - 2009-04-11 20:24:45
yup

I own a 360, but I wouldn't mind buying a Ps3 for MGS4 and this game. But I'm going to wait until alot more exclusive games come out, because there isn't enough It'd be silly to own both a 360 and Ps3 at the moment since most of the games come out on both consoles. Although I wouldn't mind playing MAG, I read about it in the May GameInformer, along with Assassins Creed II that looks good too
