KZ2 Downloadable Content - Image 1

Killzone 2's great. It's awesome. It's mind blowing. Except... it doesn't have co-op. But Guerrilla Games has heard your prayers. According to the game's senior producer, they're looking into providing co-op as downloadable content:

We're investigating [co-op] now for downloadable content. We're looking at what would be the nicest possible things for downloadable content. We've already started on maps... we're not allowed to talk about anything else unfortunately!

Overlooking how she did talk about it, it has to be pointed out that it was only a month ago when Sony had to step in and emphasize that there "are no plans for co-op in Killzone 2" due to clamor from fans. The lesson here is that if you bug studios long enough, they'll eventually dole it out as DLC.

nice :)

for me, it didn't matetr that much about co-op... since co-op just spoils the story (in most cases)... like in halo3.... you don't listen to the story if you have a friend in the game (depends on his actions ofcourse) but WITH co-op, you can make a game last for years extra.... like halo3... it's now boring playing sinlge player, but it's still fun to play co-op ;)

maybe you're just blind?

maybe you should look at the "rumour" part when they are writing about rumours?? just an idea. anywaysm this site is getting the news from people who send in the news, along with links... so they could basically be send all sort of rubbish, but they don't, you just don't look at the "rumour" part..... and sorry, i'm sure i spelled "rumour" wrong, but english is not my first language, so my english is obviously not flawless....... :P :P

Honestly

I like Halo's story but it was a small fix. I prefer multiplayer matches. Killzone 2 getting co-op is just icing on a very beautiful cake.

It depends on the type of Co-op

If Guerrilla Games would make it like Resistance style Co-op, then the replay value would be bigger. Plus, the main storyline is not spoiled.

okay.

I'm officially getting this game. I KNOW, I'M A F*CKING RETARD for not deciding this about 4 months ago, but I get games very rarely (i'm a college student)! And I only buy the best, and only ps3-exclusives (gotta support my console!). Plus, I always like variety in my purchases. So far I have MGS4, LBP, and Warhawk. Will soon be adding KZ2 onto that list (and Burnout Paradise, since its dirt cheap now...and I haven't played a racing game since NFS Hot Pursuit). I was going to get Resistance 2, but KZ2 looks better. Basically, I've spent 99 percent of my PS3 playing-time on MGS4 and MGO! For some reason, I just never got into LBP that much...never finished the story, but logged quite a few hours on create mode. It just takes too damn long to get something done! lol kinda irrelevant to the topic, but I got nothin better to do!

yay!

At least there's hope!

Resistance...

Get Resistance! It's not as bad as others thought. The online has a very good replay value. Although if you play online just for the hype of it, you'll be tired of it being repetitive. But man, 60 players online at the same map is awesome. It might be just people spreading bullets all over, but the weapons each side is using forces you/your team to form some tactics.

@ jeofro007

sorry, put it wrong.. i didn't mean that halo3 story was boring, i actually liked it quite alot, but i mean that NOW it is boring, after playing it a few times, then i said that the co-op kept the campaign alive :) and even though i'd love to, i can't buy resistance (1, nor 2) so i don't know how their system works :( but surely it most work wuite well, since people play it constantly :P

this is bad ash!!!!

even though i heard there wasnt going to co op it still didnt ditir me from wanting the game. but me and my friend usually like playing together. like when he got gears2 we spent at least or more day playing it. now that co op possibly on the way im sure he'll be happy to hear we can waste more of our lives sitting in front of the tv. yay to guerilla games.
