If Sony's motion controller is as responsive and accurate as they promise, then perhaps Ryu Hayabusa could add it to the list of his weapons. That's what Koei Tecmo president Kenji Matsubara has in mind for Sony's motion controller and what could be the next Ninja Gaiden. Fancy swinging your ninja blades live? Read on and find out more.

Matsubara believes that if indeed Sony delivers on its motion control promises, then the technology would serve not just casual games, but core titles such as Ninja Gaiden as well. "I’m very interested in the new motion-control technology announced at E3, but we really need to know how responsive it is,” he said.

Maybe we have to change the playing style and check the technology to see how quick it can be.

So, at first it will be casual games and then maybe hardcore games and we have to prepare for that and provide the games to satisfy that playing style.

The full interview can be found on issue 182 of Play magazine, which hits store shelves today.

Be interesting to see how Tecmo can utilize the wand. While it's definitely more impressive and responsive then Nintendo's Wii remote, I have to say i'm more impressed with Natal. I think both Natal and the Wand will be bring out some awesome functionality optionally if they're done right with games. I remember Heavenly Sword utilized the Tilt Six Axis controls very cool with the using the guiding the arrows from Kai.

I watched an interview on Gametrailers where Pritchard commented on the sales of the technology, he came up with a very interesting point; in order for this to be successful Sony needs to make the attachment rate 80-100% with each console sale. Which brings me to another point. The reason that Natal will more than likely be successful is because it has the right marketing machine but most gamers know that the Natal doesn't bring anything really innovative to the table (e.g. Playstation Eye, CamSpace) as a matter of fact I've played similar games to Handball style game with the original Eyetoy minus the avatar!
